I like his Romulan housekeeper.
"Of all the stories you told me, which ones were true and which ones weren't?"
"My dear Doctor, they're all true."
"Even the lies?"
"Especially the lies."

Took a couple of episodes to get going but it has 2 of the best (storyline) things in. :D

Currently watching Upload season 2 (came available on the 11th). Some of it is v v funny (but the guy behind it did write some good stuff before eg Simpsons, Parks and Recreation, King of the Hill).

It has Andy Allo in (she was in Prince's band).

The Peanut Butter Falcon. It won't be for everyone, but I enjoyed it and had a good few lol moments.

Currently 4 episodes into Dropout available on Disney + ... it is about Elizabeth Holmes and Theranos and I am enjoying it

Also 4 episodes into Severed on Apple TV+ ... interesting concept where employees working in a secure facility have there work and home memories severed so that they can't share work info, it is quite surreal but again I am enjoying it.

Watched 4 or 5 episodes of Reacher and I have to say its shite, wooden acting from the main characters, really cheesy dialogue and the story itself is laughably bad.

I'm hooked on Trailor Park Boys as of late.

When it came out back in the early 00's i just didn't get it, but i have now watched all 12 series and most of the films and specials, and am starting on the series again.

Decent!

I've found Marvelous Mrs Maisel to be pretty watchable, into the fourth series now and I'm still liking it.

Add in 'formulaic' and that's a fair summary of the books.

I enjoy them :)

Watching The Crossing on Prime.

Timey wimey stuff. Folk come back from the future to stop something happening in the future, so paradoxes aplenty. It got canned after series 1 so I expect an unresolved conclusion. It's 'OK'. 6.5/10.

The Split. BBC mini series which is in its second season now. We missed this completely and was only told about it at the weekend. 3 episodes in to S1 now. Very good.

I've just watched Central Intelligence on Film 4.

I've not enjoyed a film so much for ages. It's not really my thing, but the Rock is brilliant in it.

Now we're a few episodes in, what's the general opinion?

I'm a bit ambivalent even though it has 'borginess' - Picard seems to be declaiming from a Shakespeare script, the Borg queen appears to have developed a wry sense of humour, which is a bit :hmmm: and the timey wimey stuff has a few paradox bending problems.

S'ok but slightly disappointing.

Picard the series was always supposed to be more about Picard the man than about spaceships and what not. Generally I've liked both series.

I don't like the Borg Queen. The Borg used to be unknowable, unstoppable and terrifying. Now they're witty.

P.S. does anyone actually GAS about Elnor?

The PDJ and I overdosed on the first four series over a fairly short period. The quality dropped off as the guyliner increased around series two. But I did like the goon who appeared in series 2 (or was it three?).

We will check out five as a result of your recommendation. Destiny is all!

We watched Pixels, with Adam Sandler, it's terrible, but in a great way.

That looks hilarious, especially if you know those games. Will see if it's on Prime.
