But one I guess has passed me by is the big 1200cc adventure bikes, arguably a KTM 1190/1290 but even the BMW XR 1000

I can see one appearing in the coming years, so really ought to test one.
Welcome to try the Multi anytime mate

I've tried a Harley, didnt like it, the DiavelS was fun in a weird way but i have yet to find a cruiser that i thought "i could live with one of these"

Done many sports bikes but have yet to try a proper Panigale having only ridden the 899 version. I probably should try a KTM as when i looked at the 1190 as a possible i couldnt get a test bike so never ridden any KTM's

I ought really to try a Multistrada but I've always found them hideously ugly (yes yes i know), so much so that i simply couldn't countenance one in the garage.

Ducati Diavel. I won't ride one, in case I like it, cos I'm stupid enough to buy one knowing that whilst I like it, it would be a completely useless commuter!

G'wan, G'wan, G'wan...... have a go

I had this one for an afternoon i took out on a whim and was surprised how much i enjoyed it. Anything over 90 and the wind flow lifts your feet off the pegs but they corner better than i would have imagined and the launch control is completely unnecessary but also stupidly loads of fun to play with

And I have had one for 11 years. That makes it the longest I have owned a motorbike for

A MK1 Ducati Monster, lusted after one when they came out but I seem to have let them pass me by. Would probably be too similar to the Griso now but would be interesting to do a side by side.

They're not that fast, and certainly don't give you a buzz.

BUT, I really wanna ride a turbo version with 500 gee gees :obscene-birdiedoublered:

Good to know but I imagine it would be more than fast enough for me! For me they're sort of an iconic bike from my (relative) youth. I had a TL-S for similar reasons.

Should have bought Dern's 950SM but didn't see the thread or the add early enough. Ridden the 950 Adv and liked it but not enough, feel the SM would be perfect.

Disagree, my first one (the de-restricted version) was effortlessly quick - indicated 180 and still accelerating. Such a capable bike. Unlike some of the other POS I've ridden that feel like they're quick, but's that's only because they're trying to kill you!

Yes they are quick, but the modern litre bikes blow them away.
And they don't feel that fast. Not quite dull, but I prefer the lunacy of my GSXR1000 :obscene-birdiedoublered:

RC30... it was love at first sight, and I drool on the rare occasions I see one even now.
