Mine would be "If Covid 19 has done one thing in the UK it has highlighted the failings of this Government ". Full of swerve, deflection, piss-poor-reactionary-directionless management but still managing to feather the nest of cronies. And pretty much without ANY genuine comeback because "boo-hoo, this is unprecedented, you try better, look at Abbott's shoes, Corbyn is anti-semite" type bollocks. And this is before we get into that Boris has waltzed through the lot, start-to-finish, like he's organising an effing student rag-week.

My take on the NHS is that I'm amazed it didn't crumble, thank-you to all the people involved, yes including the managers. The NHS must be sick to death of the Public, a few weeks of pointless clapping to show support and then back to being arsey and snippy about the service they're trying to deliver throughout this pandemic, the one that isn't over yet.

For me it's highlighted the failings of the government, just imagine if it was a something like Ebola?

New Zealand prime minister? Fuck yeah, well competent. Boris? I'm quite honestly embarrassed at how incompetent him and his lot are.

i guess we're now techincally 2 years into this...

How has Covid affected us long terms individually then ?

For me, apart from petrol and WFH every day, the answer is.. Not so much. I've not had it (as far as i'm aware) and i don't really do the going out thing much, so it's effects have been minimal.

Working from home and seeing the kids a lot more has been great.

Home schooling and Mrs work worries was pants

Not seeing family/friends did affect me a lot. I didn't see my folks for 5 months and I found that really hard. I don't go out a huge amount but I do like going out so yeah that wasn't great but not a deal breaker for the short term.

covid itself was a bit meh for us. Bad cold symptoms for me, nothing for the kids and Mrs was a bit rough but nothing bad at all.

The parent (and main supplier) of the company I work for is based in HK.

They've just shut all their Chinese factories due to a massive covid out brake. It's apparently massively on the increase over there.

At least WW3 will take off minds off it.

4 days WFH instead of the usual pre covid 3, not had it as far as I know, worked through every lockdown, so pretty much little to no effect for me.

I went into the office today (5th visit in 2 years) for an end of project meeting. I hadn't realised, until someone said, that it was two years from the WfHome if you can. So 2 years since I'd seen most of them (didn't see the two guys at home in Scotland!).

But although it was great seeing people, I didn't achieve anything that couldn't have been done remotely other than catch up on gossip.

Just looking at the shared school diary at my mroning school and there are 14 people off ill, 90% of them are just pos on LFT with very mild symptoms!

Madness - the school car parks and nice and easy to find a spare space in though so that's an upside...

I was at another school last week and they we're struggling so much to find staff to cover classes as well as go on camp that they had no SLT in at all for a week, the head, deputy etc had to go help out on camp.

I seem to be ok, i think the thick layer of alcohol and cannabis lining my blood is protecting me from it all - touch wood...

Covid has entered the Mofo house for the 3rd time. What joy.

All of us at Xmas. Daughter 2nd infection in Jan and now my wife for the 2nd time. So I'm expecting to get it at some point. I have a cold but I'm testing negative currently, wife is better than last time mainly just cold symptoms with a cough which I don't have yet. But that's our Easter written off as well as missing Xmas. This really is dull.

I thought we may have had it... both me and @Welsh Muffin were down last week with man-flu. I've not bothered testing, but she has and the boy has for school and they're both negative. I was pretty ropey for 3-4 days, but i think it was just man-flu. The fly in the ointment was that Crust is now + and i was with him all weekend before, hence wondering if we had covid. But i'm thinking not.
