She recorded this before making the TV protest.

I hope she is simply hiding but I wouldn't bank on it
I think I read that she has been arrested.

Ms Ovsyannikova's lawyers say they have been searching for their client but have been unable to find her.

Probably highly unlikely that 'finding' her will be facilitated by the authorities.

Reading stories from other protestors they get taken to various police stations and wait to be processed by tired coppers who are fairly sympathetic to them, there's a big queue and a long wait. She's in court on fairly minor charges.
People are getting arrested for holding up paper that says "two words" in Russian or even unrolling blank banners. Pro-War protestors are also getting arrested , so probably anyone who stands in front of a TV camera.

A news anchor from state TV has left Russia and handed her notice in remotely, it might be useful if she starts making different videos.

Saw that on C4 last night and was puzzled until I looked up why...

Apart from there not being much left in the way of consequences I don't think anyone is sure which side shot him and he put himself into a danger zone deliberately. Why is he so important?
Can they send some Fox news mouthpieces over there next?
Someone was listening.

And yet I read in Russian independent media that the far right nationalists were a fringe group a month ago, now Putin has made them stronger than ever. Even so I doubt they will take power after this but if they do then Putin made it happen.

Set up by the white supremacist Andriy Biketski, MP and far-right Ukrainian National Socialist.

Putin was pretty clear about what would happen if Ukraine continued to strengthen their far-right Nazi battalions on his borders. Sadly instead of challenging Ukraine on their funding of Nazism, the west decided to wage war on Russia. Hitler will be spinning in his grave with glee.

Hands up if you can foresee any issues when Putin withdraws and large parts (or all) of Ukraine is controlled by far-right, white supremacist Nazis?

An extremist army sponsored and supported by the west that will eventually bite it’s owners hand off.
It’s like deja vu.
The far right in Ukraine polled less than 2% of the vote (that's probably lower than the real figure in the UK) yet you're predicting a Nazi controlled Ukraine? I think you need another couple of days away from a keyboard.

The Battalion consists of 900 soldiers, it's estimated that 10-20% have Nazi ideals. Biketski stepped down as their leader 7 years ago and is a former MP.
The Pew Research Center found Ukraine to be the most accepting of Jews among all Central and Eastern European countries in a 2018 study.
That study included Russia, BTW.

The Nazi party didn’t just pop up one day in 1939.

But at least you’re planting your flag and supporting the arming and training of active Neo-Nazi regiments.
It lets us see who we all are.
So in your mind Farage would have been justification for France to go to war with the UK?

They only exist due to Putin's invasion in 2014 when the Ukraine military was weak and desperate for troops. As you say, Putin's newest invasion will only serve to strengthen them. A group of football hooligans (which ironically included 'dozens' of Russians living in Ukraine) formed into a military unit, funded by a Jewish billionaire and sent off to the front lines.

Positions don't have to be binary either. It's perfectly possible to object to what Putin is doing and think that the USA/UK & Co messed up in Afghanistan, Syria, Libya, Iraq etc.

The latest horror is that Abe is contemplating breaking the triple lock on nuclear and allowing USA nuclear weapons to be sited in Japan.

Bay of Pigs? Ptoui. Wait 'til China get wind of that particular brainwave. (Their current programme should see parity with the USA and Russia at 1550 nukes, à la START agreement, in pretty short order).

Oh btw - she was held for fourteen hours and released with a fine.
I got more than that for fighting with a very willing opponent outside a pub in the north of England.

She knew full well she'd just get nicked and just get a fine.

You really have to stop believing the shite you get fed in western media.
Yushenkov and Nemtsov might disagree.

Where do you suggest instead?

BTW shite BBC reported:

It is not clear if she will face separate charges relating to her protest on live TV, and there had been fears she would be prosecuted under a more serious, new criminal law that bans calling Russia's military action in Ukraine an "invasion" or spreading "fake news" about the conflict.

I'm just pointing out the sort of hypocrisy that starts wars.

I'm not saying Putin is better than Boris or the zombie puppet controlled by the white supremacists running the USA, but you don't have to get behind them or make excuses for them when they start sabre rattling.

Sorry, I wasn't clear.

Where do you suggest getting news and information (guessing that you, or your people, didn't talk with her directly)?

She got an absolute squeeze.
In an actual BBC news invasion, the activists weren't charged.

I think I got old and pieced together all the experience I have, a couple of wars I was in, being around people that can control governments, weighing up western news and eastern news, realising that people are just people...and went "Hang on...."
Dunno man, i think you're losing the plot... it's like seeing the grandpa who starts putting the kettle in the fridge and walking round in his slippers...

I'm not worried as you don't know where i live :) but if you did, i'd be putting extra locks on my door.

The problem is that I understand the plot and I don't really want anything to do with it, I could say the same about politics, corporate finance, or anything else fundamentally corrupt.
I wish I was still as innocent as you, and that's not an insult.
I think i simply care less, whether that's innocence or something else i don't know. But i just simply don't care. You'd be amazed how little i care about such a vast amount of things these days.

that may be foolish... but i just can't even begin to care.

I do care about this place though... and that's making me sad at the moment.
