The Unknown Stuntman...
...would have jumped an open drawbridge.
Fella should have just gassed it!

"He was blinded by the heavy rain and never saw the traffic gate. He said he was in shock....." I don't know whether to laugh or cry. At least no one was hurt.

I like the way he decided it was someone else's fault and there weren't enough lights. The gate he rode through should have been his first red flag I'd have thought.

Re: The Unknown Stuntman...
Early on as an assistant sound recordist I went out on my first proper Drama shoot (lowest of the low) it was a Dick Francis thriller called horse nap,( series title, The Racing Game) race horse gets pinched hero's try to recover it. YTV circa 1979 they had a stunt man "rides bike over a back lane into a field medium sized jump in todays terms but even then, no need to call evil Kinevel they had a Yamaha XT 500. anyway stunt time, they cant start it every man and his dog have a go but its well flooded and director getting a bit pissed off. eventually the Unit manager addresses the whole crew and asks "can anyone start this" I'd already said i could to my boss but counselled to keep my mouth shut ! Eventually with no one willing to stick their head in the firing line I said I'll start it howls of derision from the rest. I tied the bike to the back of the props truck and said just drive And ill tow it off afetr a few hundred meters it fires I slip off the rope from the bars and return to the unit on it cheers all round. we get it nice and warm and hand it over to the stunt man who promptly stalls it but it fires up ok now and off he goes to jump this lane, anyway he falls off on landing breaks his leg but they have the shot.
