I've got a wind out awning as well as as reassuringly expensive pump up, drive away thing wifey insisted on having. I've used the wind out twice, once to see if worked and once to show my dad, I'm sure it'll come in handy in the summer. The pump up thing is taking up a huge amount of luggage space and pisses me off every time I open the back door. We'll be back in England in May and if I can't sell it I'll bin it, if she hadn't paid so much for it I would have binned it already. Campsites in Europe generally are nowhere near as generous with their pitch space as UK ones, so very little chance to put an awning up. If you use aires there's no chance at all. She knew this before buying the thing but insisted it came away with us.Felix wrote: ↑Mon Mar 14, 2022 9:50 pm I get the outside more than in thing. Even if its raining and i am only stopped for one night i want the awing up just for that more space feel. Not a wind out one but even the ones that slot into a runner can be out um in just over 5 minutes.
We are away three weeks next year what is nothing to you guys but its 8/9 days more than we are used to and meeting no one we know for the first time also. Just a bit worried i kill the wife and leave the body in Croatian well

Is you wind out a Fiamma? A lot of then you can get add on privacy rooms. Some are quite thick material what again will take up room but i have seen nylon sides also what roll up into a nice large holdall size

It's a Thule, you get the same thing for them for lots more money, to buy all the panels for my thing is around £2k. Apart from sites in the UK I can't think of anywhere we've stayed where there was space to erect an awning or rules in place to allow it.Felix wrote: ↑Mon Mar 14, 2022 10:43 pm Is you wind out a Fiamma? Re: A right now thread
Just seen this unfiltered shot from Mojacar!
Big clean up here in Almeria as the skies yesterday turned this colour (No filter) this was actually the colour of the sand in our skies
Today, the ski is still full and lets just say you could choose between a bucket and spade or a shovel and broom, both will come in handy
We do get the odd sand storm, however this is the worst I have seen in the 17 years we have lived here.

More of the same today. It's not as bad as that where I am, looking out the window it's like a very pale red fog. Going outside a mask as glasses are a good idea.

We're only about 85 miles from Africa and when the Calima blows, visibility is down to about half mile.

You buggers got all the red!! I woke up to a 'non' sunrise of really weird yellow/gold clouds!! Looked proper miserable
I know the van is a bit smaller than my apartment, but as others have said, you can move!!! I just try and get out and go for walks!!Felix wrote: ↑Mon Mar 14, 2022 7:14 pm
You still kipping in the van? How is that going long term? Few people on our self build group live in there vans full time what gets me wondering of cabin fever can be an issue. Probably less chance with you being in a place with better weather than the UK just now.

There's much thinner cloth "room" you can buy, I had one and it worked well, picked it up at the moho show one year, will try to remember what it was called.... They were selling it as a wind stopper.Pirahna wrote: ↑Mon Mar 14, 2022 11:01 pmIt's a Thule, you get the same thing for them for lots more money, to buy all the panels for my thing is around £2k. Re: A right now thread
It's a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom shed that looks a lot better in the flesh than it does in the estate agents pics. The site is big, it's around 3 acres across 3 terraces, only half of one terrace is shown in the pics.
Anyway, deposit paid, it should be ours in 4 to 6 weeks.
