Chuck them in the bin.

If they aren't a legal requirement, leave them off. I don't know of any production bikes, fully faired, part faired, naked etc that have bar end mirrors - but they manage to fit them. Find a way of integrating them that suits aesthetically or leave them off. Strewth, fit a rear view camera even (they available and v small), but bar end? Barf!

On the bikini-faired 1000S they're on the fairing - the bike above has a fairing. Without the fairing they're usually above the bars not below and, on quite a few people have removed them. We all have our likes and dislikes. I just happen to think bar end mirrors generally are a crappy, custom-styling, compromise abomination*. :D

*Fitted below the bars they are simply stupid.

PS. I don't get too agitated about the hole under the seat.

I really like it. Might look better with something like a little ally took box in the gap under the seat?
I'd lose the Reg plate carrier and have a little plate behind the seat.
Bar end mirrors work a lot better than you'd think. even below the bar. I always thought they were daft until I rode a bike with them.

Got to love an old big block Guzzi though.

What GP said :)

But I'd rather have a Mk2 Le Mans ;)

It's not the functionality that irritates me. It's a) the look b) the utterly rubbish aerodynamics c) the ones that make the bike wider than the bars d) the lack of imagination in finding a better solution.

I do like the bike though. Couldn't ride it but that's true of café racers generally.

I think there are a few Triumphs that have em from the factory. Speed Triple and Speed Twin spring to mind.

Lovely. And very well executed. I particularly like the way the exhaust mid section is an elongated cone - very trick. And there are so many really thoughtful detail touches. Like Count Steer I'd junk the mirrirs, and like GP I'd fill the underseat hole with something classy and under-stated, but everything else is a win. Even the number plate holder.

Dont go and watch 'The Batman' then. Bar end mirrors, empty triangle, and the handlebars on cat gurrl's bike :?
