Big fat lawnmowers

Post by Slenver »

Does anyone know about lawnmowers, particularly ride-on mowers, possibly particularly zero turn ones?

I need a new one to mow around an acre - a mix of open paddock and little fiddly garden bits and want something fast and efficient.

Recommendations appreciated.

I have a Husqvarna Rider 13C Its not zero turn, but it will mow round a very small tree without any bother. I have 3/4 acre and apart from occasionally eating a belt its been no bother at all/ Even got a cup holder. Mulch deck does a good job of losing the cuttings. Its about 7 years old and must be due a sharpen and possibly an oil change by now.

You've not had to sharpen it? Mine's always needing it - possibly because I get bored of clearing all the fallen twigs/branches first... :)

TBH, all garden work is a blue job apparently so she doesn't really care how it's done as long as it's done. And that it's me that does it.

They make an excellent guard dog substitute as well.
