:D They parted company with paypal what i forgot about as i dont sell anything very often (Jock) They pay you direct into your bank. I am not happy about giving them my bank details but had to as the phone sold and there is no other way to get paid. There is no way to delete you band details so i would rather delete the account. Ill join again later for the sake of buying but TBH i use Amazon more now anyway.

I'm having a wonderful weekend - it's the simple things.

My brother (my only sibling) arrived yesterday from Cornwall to look after my Mum for 24 hours. I headed home where I found that spawn #2 had actually pulled his socks up and has kept the place clean and tidy meaning there was nothing more for me to do than make myself a nice cup of coffee and chill out. He had one apology when I got here which I thought was sweet rather than annoying - he'd tried to clean the toilet with a Brillo pad and it's left a grey mark. If anyone knows how to get scratches out of porcelain, comment below

I got a message from my brother late afternoon saying "Can you phone me for some advice?" :shifty: My Mum's legs are permanently bandaged because of ulcers (they don't look pretty) and the bandages are changed every few days by a district nurse. My Mum had complained that her legs were uncomfortable so he took the bandages off. I was a little dumbfounded as after he took the first one off he must have seen the ulcers which must have socked him a little so why did he proceed to take the second one off? Anyhoo I told him he needed to call the 24 hour district nurse team, which he did and they are coming this morning.

The only thing that will top this weekend off is a quick ride out for a coffee somewhere so I'll head back to my Mum's for lunchtime where spawn #1 will be on standby and I may get out on the bike for an hour. Happy days :banana-dance:

It's the little breaks that mean so much, just to be free for a few hours and not having your stomach sink every time your phone rings.

I haven't quite got my head around not feeling guilty because I don't have to do all that stuff now. I'm like a stereotyping animal freed from a 20 x 20 cage, but I'm still pacing the same distance even though the cage has gone.

Enjoy the moment, bike and coffee, charge the battery. 8-)

After a decent nights sleep I figured I should have a bit of a 'rest' day. I've been pushing my shoulder/arm a bit by trying to get out twice a day (varying distances for the second trip) and yesterday it all started to grumble/be quite uncomfortable. My mate at the cafe is on day off today and if his second is there, I've no interest in going in!! LOL The nurse was due before 11 and then I had little planned apart from maybe a catch up with a mate just back from the uk

But, I can't just sit  So -

I've done some washing and hung it up - not as easy as it should be when having to balance on one leg (for someone without great balance!!)

I swept the floor!!! Again, sounds simple, isn't!! Something that normally takes me 2 mins (including using the dustpan and brush!!) took me 15 mins - and that was before I took the broom back to its 'home' in a corner!! LOL

I also sorted some stuff on the bed and from the airer before I reloaded it - now got less at the side of the 'corridor', so more space for me and the crutches; clothes I just won't wear (jeans, leggings etc) are on a bottom shelf and stuff that is more useful is on the top; washed up and wiped the counter

The nurse is now coming at 12.15ish, so I have time for a cuppa, get the ice pack out of the freezer ready to put on the injection site. Then a mate is coming up with some chalet meal leftovers to keep me going for a day or so before I 'need' to attempt actual cooking and after that I'm hoping to meet up with the returning friend and maybe my favourite ski instructor and his colleague too (the last mostly cos they will take the piss out of me and make me laugh - well, Stophe will, think Fred is still a bit wary and hasn't sussed out how much French I speak and what he can do in the taking the piss area!! LOL

I so don't think I'm inactive enough for a daily anti coagulant injection, but will save that discussion for meeting the GP on Tuesday!!

It was a lovely day. Bright sunshine, no wind and the temperature crept into double figures. Just the weather to get the bike out for the first time in ages. Then I remembered that the roads had been gritted yesterday and they would have a good layer of salt, so I painted the garden fence

Took our 3 young lady guests on my super dooper 4WD tour.
Being from flat boring Nederlands, they were blown away by the volcanoes and monster sand dunes.

At least 4 WOW! moments.

I love showing folk round my island :)

Woke up a bit early, but not too early. Looks like a bright clear day. Taking wife to work and daughter to college then myself to audiologist to get my hearing aid sorted, it is not giving the volume it should and I am missing a lot of conversation and so on. The past weekends lectures were a total waste of time.

Walked around a nice little Spanish town with 2 vegans trying to find somewhere for lunch. I did offer to take them back to the van and make them a bowl of plain pasta so I could go somewhere nice to eat but they were having none of it. We finished up with a picnic from the supermarket. Shame really as there were some cracking little restaurants.

Was a nice day so decided to take the GSXR out as I haven't ridden it for 2 months since I broke my finger. No probs with the finger, but the other fingers had become lazy and as the clutch was now a struggle. Ooops. And no probs with the tendonitis in my shoulder so should be OK for the Ironman next weekend.

After 2 months, I'd forgotten what a beast it is.The Husky is mental in it's own way, but when this thing hits 130 and the front wheel won't stay on the ground, it's proper giggle time :obscene-birdiedoublered:

And after trying to order some helibars for the last month, I decided that they would spoil it in the twisties as I like to get my head down and steer with my shoulders :)

And when I got home, the bike coughed in the drive and cut out. When I put the keys in, it showed 150 miles to empty, but I'd forgotten I'd syphoned some out for the other bikes. The gauge doesn't adjust for a minute or 2. Lucky escape. :)

Just been asked to go to Germany next week.

It was Cluj last week and this week I'm going on holiday to Hartlepool.

Am I the last of the famous international playboys?
