Great thing about radio comms is that you could tell them that they are idiots and they can't answer back.

So starting to shop around now that my renewal date is getting closer. BeMoto could only offer my TPF&T at £550. Waiting on a few people to come back to me with the shed/garaged clarification.

Incidentally, a friend at home just passed his test. He is 41, new rider. Bought a 2nd hand Aprilia Dorsoduro 750 for about £4k and is getting quotes of around £200 fully comp. Lives in a fairly big town just outside Belfast.

What does comp come back like? When I was young I used to get TPF&T for a number of years but was surprised that comp was actually cheaper when I finally asked.

BeMoto offered £670 full comp, but needed to clarify the shed situation with the underwriters.

Triumph have now come back with £520 fully comp, kept in the shed. Best so far. I was hoping for a good bit less than £500, but it seems that I might struggle.

I know it’s different for old wrecks, but Carole Nash wanted £193 to renew, up from £150 last year.

RH is giving a very similar policy for £112.

My insurance in NW London has gone from reasonable for TPFT to £500 for 3rd party only for a bike worth £3k. Reason being no garage (terrace street of Victorian houses) and the fact that I am an instructor - apparently that makes me a higher risk.
