I feel like I should like that, but I really don't, it just looks wrong.

The article is an interesting read and it's clearly been a mechanical endeavour rather than a cosmetic one. Heated grips, hand guards, it gets used rather than just stared at and polished. Just for the mechanical evolution and general spannering it's a

Even with a 'braced and modified' frame, that old wobbler is going to get nasty with all that power. I had bracing welded into my old Z1 and is was still shit and that was only a fairly stock engine. Less shit, but still shit.

I don't heal fast enough anymore to give that thing the berries. Kudos to him.

In the 1980s I knew someone with a 1428cc turbo nitrous Z1000 that made 235 bhp on the TTS dyno, he had the frame bracing kit and an extended swingarm, apparently it was evil handling accelerating hard in a straight line, he didn't talk about corners.

It also didn't slow down straight away when you closed the throttle.

When I first new him it was an 1127 (I think) with Moriwaki cams and he used to ride it quite a bit, as he threw more money into it and the power output went up he rode it less and last time I saw him (probably 1987) he said he preferred riding his 350 YPVS

I wonder what happened to the Z1000, I wouldn't be surprised if he still had it, he'll be in his mid 60s now.

Preferring his Elsie is probably what got him to his 60s.

Assuming he's still alive, I've no idea if Carl Palmer of Clopton still lives.

He made sqillions when he drummed for ELP.

Could equally have been Karl with a K, also I could have remembered his name incorrectly.
