Moving into year 3... Nothing really changes..

Post by weeksy »

SO today i've renewed and paid for our hosting for year 3. That means we're 100% in again for another year of madness.... well, madness may be a VERY big stretch as you're all boring old fuckers.... but hey, it's as mad as things get :)

We won't quite hit the heights i'd hoped for and 150,000 posts in the 2 years, but i think we've done pretty damn well. But we've still got 2 weeks until our birthday.

It's been a complete pleasure gang...

Hold on, year three?

Only feels like 6 months since WB turned off the lights at TRC. Time flies while you're having fun. Hopefully we'll make it to 150,000 posts before the impending nuclear apocalypse.

I don't like the brown seat, the stupid fat tyres,no front mudguard, needless armadillo welds on the exhaust, the totally impractical riding position and the garish paint scheme, Aside from that,it's ok.

Oops...cut and pasted to the wrong thread. :silent:

Cheers for all the work Weeksy. 8-)

As Weeksy is just about to buy a bike / has bought a bike/ has never sat on said bike, I am guessing that 150,000 posts is well within our reach in the next two weeks ...
In fact, it may well be double that !

Another job later today which is to renew the SSL Certificate costings.... So it's possible when that expires in a couple of weeks we may have a few hours of non-SSL compatibility again while it moves over to the new Cert. This year though i'll get it confirmed and paid up early so we know where we are with it.

Thanks again for the place to have community and support! Great to be able to hang out somewhere decent.

I forgot... we're actually into year 4....

As of a couple of days ago.

It's interesting as i've just typed in "motorbike forum" on a machine that has no internet history and we're a lot higher up than we used to be. Even more interesting is that i'd also argue based upon 'new posts' on the others we're more active in terms of posts per hour than any other i can find certainly in the UK.

I still have the usual issue of attracting and keeping new members... But not a lot i can do there.

It will probably slowly grow as the cliche gets bigger. Then Pembrey track day is aces and I still want to come to another one, but have to see when I am free! Also need to fix the bike....
