Exhaust, for me it's how it looks rather than sound and you don't want it too noisy. The double you posted looks OK but expensive, so for me it's Black widow, fits the bike perfect, made to measure.
The Akra imo looks awful, too long. If its hung low it needs to be short. Higher longer. 👍
the LV Dual is £680.... Which isn't bad... in the grand scheme of things.

Dunno about seat and doesn't massively concern me.

Black Widow.... looks on bike, yeah i can get that.. but struggling with potential quality. It's £400 to find out... and paying the extra £275 you know what you're getting quality wise with things like the LV.

Option to get the standard system from XSR900 at £250-270 still stands too... but doesn't add anything in terms of noise.

motor feels stronger than the 10 or so bhp advantage it has over an XSR even though the XSR has more torque on paper - weird.
Don't agree with that at all. Thought the XSR feels way more grunty than the 765. Maybe when really walloping the rpm the 765 feels it... but everything else, i can't agree.
like I said, weird as the XSR has more torque

Have you ridden Tricky's then?

Nice. You don't see it at that full on side angle, so I'd imagine it looks right from a more elevated view. Nice colour match on that bike too!

I'd add that this is an awkward bike to put a can on imo, because it has a stubby streetfighter style exhaust on as standard, so anything aftermarket you look at is going to look even more streetfighter and you'll end up over thinking it. Work out the best quality/budget you can and get one on there and enjoy some grumble and growl.

I'd love to have the answer :)

Over on PB forum one of the guys does vapour blasting and is happy to blast the whole standard XSR900 system and paint it for about £100-120.
If i go down the ceramic... i'm in for £250.
Used system is a waiting game but £400-600
New is £600-900

The 2 higher priced options are troubling because of their price... But i'm honestly seeing this bike staying a while and even then, i'll not be even slightly shocked if it's replaced by another XSR900 but new, so it could go onto the new bike.

The vapour blast and heat paint... that appeals due to cost.... but is it really going to hold up to even light use.

The Ceramic comes with a pre-coat to help with corrosion etc.... It's currently seeming like the potentially best plan in terms of looks, cost and lifespan

Out of all the exhausts, i think it looks the most 'right'

Only a VERY brutal one...

https://www.fz09.org/threads/gmtechs-fr ... ost-890994

Which is basically to drill inside the exhaust and through the walls of the Cat box.

Not sure I'm likely any of the after market systems much the dual LV looks a bit streetfighter mag, the under engine job doesn't look right. The OE and MT09 look good.

Go full hipster and black exhaust wrap the headers  Or maybe that's why the OE one rusts/corrodes to give it that authentic old patina look!

May as well go for the full Termi then

I agree with Tai, prices are silly, but you're going to go full system sooner or later, you'll be better off pulling the trigger sooner rather than later and save the agro of 2nd stuff or messing around with coatings
