Very nice bike, congrats. Glad to see that you've come to the 29er dark side. 8-)

Our Fuel EX's (Alloy) work nicely with Bontrager XR4 Team Issue 2.6" front and 2.4" rear. Inexpensive, light, and loads of grip.

For trails and general mucking around 22psi front 24psi rear works nicely for Mrs irie and me - we are both 80kg (ish).

So far down my list of concerns.

Interestingly I was chatting with Katy Curd today, ex British DH champion and world cup racer. Me and the lad have had coaching with her before.

When I told her what I'd just bought she said "wow, best bike I've ever ridden, loaned one a few weeks ago, it was like cheating"

It's 140mm not 200mm :D

My morning debate is regarding Invisiframe kits... Whether i want/need one and whether the bike will be in a position aesthetically to be right for it.

https://wp.invisiframe.co.uk/videos/

I don't want to order one quite yet as i already have a Specialized Status 140 kit lol. That's up on ebay at the moment as Invisiframe don't do returns as they're custom cut.

There's a company in cinderford that make and fit protection kits, my Whyte went to them before I collected it.

It's not going to protect the paint from hard dings but for the day to day abrasion it's perfect and they can do a custom colour change of that's what you fancy 😉

Actually, I now realise that was a big fat lie ( or rather "it was my truth")
I was looking at a 2nd hand Remedy - not the racing snake fuel

So, my bad ! :o

Well it's here and it's INCREDIBLY shiny !!!! I mean like really really shiny !!!

I've had to move the shifter bracket and dropper bracket, move the levers out a bit. But other than that, we're good to roll.

It rides and rolls really nicely.... (in the close...) and it's super.

Downsides...
Well i can't get the bloody tyres off the bead for love or money !!! Not even a little bit lol... neither... not at all, no siree !!!

Never had one this hard. I had some sun ringle wheels that were very tight, but these are bonkers.

They've used some blue sealant which seems to be like glue!

It also seems they've fitted a non tubeless tyre but fitted it tubeless.

Those XR4 Comp tyres certainly are a bastard to get off. When I got them off Mrs irie's bike a couple of weeks ago I used some plastic tyres levers to hold them when starting off. The beads certainly are tight as fuck on the Alex MD35 rims.
