Is it an actual invasion now? I've just got in and not seen the news yet, I thought it was still a peacekeeping mission to protect the pro-Russians from Ukrainian butchers - you know like when the US went into Syria under the same lies.

He's using his numerical advantage to stretch the Ukraine defence. Most of Ukraine's elite divisions are reportedly in the East so he'll be assuming resistance in the rest of the country will be weaker and more likely to surrender, before encircling the main Ukrainian army. If the advance continues, Ukraine's only real hope is an urban defence from its cities which would result in horrendous casualties

Putin said that one of the goals of the invasion was the denazification of Ukraine.

Who is going to risk calling that a bluff with a man that appears to have a screw loose? Biden isn't Kennedy. Then again, a certain American military man said 'The 1st World War was fought in Yurp, the 2nd World War was fought in Yurp and the 3rd World War will be damn well fought in Yurp'.

Biden won't have the backing to implement military options, so he might tell us to. EU isn't going to. NATO struggle to keep a peace never mind win a war.

The best thing for the people of Ukraine is to get hostilities over as quick as possible, it doesn't matter who wins, it'll be ordinary people dying and losing their homes, and the longer the war goes on the more will die.

Does it really matter to the ordinary people of Ukraine if they have a Western or Eastern facing government?

The West will hopefully just impose sanctions rather than going to war, a real war would hurt the UK a lot more than sanctions.
IMO Boris will do fuck all that effects him or his friends.
