I've seen loads of lesser mortals do it at Donington and they were steady.
I bet old Wayne will let rip a bit. He still races carts and cars, but will still love the 500 screeeeeaaaaam.

There's a local lad who came off his motocrosser and broke his back, he's been known to be strapped onto his bike and still does pretty well on a motocrosser.
Mind, he also competed in the paralympics so his motivation isn't in doubt.

What a wonderful thing, sorely tempted to try and get tickets just for the privilege of watching him ride up the hill.
Can still vividly remember the shock of watching him crash and knowing immediately that it was bad.
Thankfully it was back in the days before bike racing got tribal, and although you had your favourites you certainly didn’t celebrate the opposition crashing!
