Short version

Need new laces for my snowboard boots. No spares available

Ohh eff it, I've been well tipped and my boots have started to split = new boots. No boots available in my size.

FFS, narky email sent, no reply expected.
Dyneema from a climbing shop, should be able to find something the right thickness, lasts for ages, downside is you might not like the colour
Awesome, thanks. I'll give it a go, and if it works, I'll tell the guys in the snowboard shop :banana-dance:

I've just seen a video on how to replace the outer laces, if I can get Dyneema in orange in the right diameter :bblonde: :bblonde: :bblonde: :bblonde:

Ooh! 15 'healing' magnets and 'heat-generating copper thread'. Sounds magic!

(Coopers are actually quite a reputable shop that's been around for years I think but they seem to have got into in web stuff in a big way. Bought some kitchen consumables stuff on Amazon and it came from them).

I used to live in Bishop's Stortford and Coopers used to be a fantistic, if expensive, shop. Sadly a takeover then Covid ruined to place. :(

When I went to see the Surgeon who ended up replacing my knee, he was very much against supports and so is my Physiotherapist who I see now for the other knee. Both are of the opinion they (supports) end up relieving the muscles of their job and physiotherapy ends up being about retraining the muscles to do what they should be, or used to be, doing.

Local Timber yard. Three fence panels, few posts and some postcrete. Made order on the 7th and told it will be in later in the week as the panels are not in stock. End of week chase it up to be told panels not on the truck and will be in next week. Explained to customer who seemed OK with it all so waited all last week for a call or email. Nothing so went to a further away competitor who had it all in stock so just bought it all from them. So much for trying to support your local businesses. Missed a unidentified call tonight what i keep wondering if it was the first yard saying they have them in :D

Housing agency that won't sign off paperwork to do with the transfer of a piece of land in the property purchase I am making. They have taken the money from the vendor, they have agreed the sale, registered with Land Registry, but they have a "covenant" on the land that needs "special" paperwork. We have told them covenant and restrictions are all agreed to (it is the driveway and cannot be used for anything else) and that they just need to sign it!! It is holding up the exchange of contracts and could be costing the seller their next home as they are stuck in a chain. We have transferred the funds for the exchange of contracts and just want it done. My solicitor has been brilliant and on the ball, but they can only deal with that they have been given.

In my defence I am currently in the second week of my worst ever migraine which brings me to the next thing that BMP .... FUCKING MIGRAINES!!!!!! Thank fuck I only have one or 2 a year and they are more visual/brain disturbances than painful headaches.

People who ski too fast for their abilities / conditions
People who don't stop after causing a collision

Noggin will fill you all in in due corse :(

and on a completely separate note

Clothing, particularly T shirts that have so many effing labels attached to the inside made of what feels like recycled razor blades. Of course I cut them out but that means I'm not able to see the washing instructions that were so vitally important !

On a similar note: washing machine cycles.

Being a domestic goddess, I've been WFH and doing a couple of washing loads. Our Bosch machine has a number of cycles: 'sportswear', 'duvet', 'dark wash', 'shirts'.

What does it actually do different for each one? I mean it only appears to be the duration of the wash. I'd love to know.

Edit: Yeah, I know. Google it and ye shall find: https://www.bosch-home.co.uk/customer-s ... ould-i-use

Farmers that hate cyclists and take money off DEFRA and the South Downs NP to down rate their permissive bridleway to a permissive footpath fucking off all the cyclists in the area. This is on the pretext that he has to have more cattle in the field so as to get more money off the govt and doesn't want bridleway gates that people could leave open.

But now he has to cut down a dangerous tree and do a load of vegetation clearance out of his own pocket because I'm now going to be the most diligent South Downs NP path inspector.

I shall be the dripping tap of persistence...............

The price of hotel rooms in Brighton. Long story, but we wanted to a see something at the theatre down there in June. Two double rooms for a Saturday night couldn't be had for less than 400 notes. Even the fecking Premier Inn wanted as much. Hotel Du Vin, where I've had cheap deals previously, wanted £700+ :o I don't wanna keep the fecking room, just kip in it for a night.

Bollocks to that. Brighton's a bit of a shithole anyway. I'll swerve it.
