Re: Show us your helmets
My daily is a Shoei NXR in black.
Recently dumped my Shoei X-Spirit and also an XR-1000 as were getting on a bit, wish I'd replaced the X-Spirit with another as the NXR just doesn't fit as nicely.

Re: Show us your helmets
Forgot about my open faced lid. I have a Hedon OF lid which is lovely and comfortable. I might look to see if they have a suitable FF one...
*edit* scrap that idea. They're dearer than Arais! I'll be putting my Hedon open face up for sale if the Bike Shed Top Knots fashionistas are putting that much money on the brand!

Nexx xg100r for me. It's a bit noisy without earplugs and you have to use stick on tints rather than pinlock.
My other helmet which needs a new visor is this one
Shark s600 which was super cheap because of the silly graphic on the back

Re: Show us your helmets
After about 25 years of Arais I bought a Shoei last year.
Gloss black RYD, it's a tad quieter than my Arais (not a surprise), and I need to get a new set of liners for it (I had long hair when I bought it and my hair gets very thick so it's probably going to be loose now: I got a haircut just before we moved).

I'm sure no-one wants to see pictures of 4 Shuberths in stunning white or restrained black. (Not that I've ever taken photos of them ).

Am I the only one who thought that RTTL had been hacked and I was about to be sent to a p*rn site?

Re: Show us your helmets
I have an Arai Chaser V, bought a couple of years ago discounted by about £100 because it was the previous year's design
and a Shark Raw. It's comfortable and it's a good summer helmet but I bought some new glasses a couple of years ago and they don't fit under the goggles properly
I'm a bloke and I don't throw stuff away, so my 2 previous helmets are on top of a bookshelf, both Arai Astros

Re: Show us your helmets
I didn’t think I had a pic of any of my old helmets then found a not too great one of my Arai Chaser that’s just been retired in favour of a Shoei Neotec 2

Re: Show us your helmets
I'm not at home with my lids, but I have..
The oldest lid I have I use for short, local trips is a black and white GT Air.
I like it so much when the GT Air 2 came out, I grabbed a grey and yellow one cheap. I use this one for touring.
I bought a nearly new NXR from a friend which I wear when I want to look faster. I would wear it for touring but I like the drop down sun visor with the GT Air and the NXR while lighter is noisier and colder.

Re: Show us your helmets
For those who never throw helmets away because they can't stand the thought of binning them you could donate the instead. Local ambulance, fire service or even bike racing club can always use them for training in helmet removal and also cutting them off.
I gave an old one over to Bemsee rescue medics to use for cutting off a crashed rider and I kept a crashed one as a training aid for CBT training to show the impact damage
