Show us your helmets
Potter is going to love this one but its not about the "hat"
In all seriousness its one of the bits of kit most of us like either through the style, the fashion, the paintjob, design or personal reasons ........ others see it as a thing to sit on the head while riding or the one within budget at the shop at the time.
I have 3 currently. Arai Tour X4 i wear most of the time while riding, Shoei Neotec2 i wear for the instructing job i do as the flip up makes it easier to communicate with students. The Shoei is the warmest helmet i have owned due to all the skirting underneath so ideal for winter with the drop down dark visor but the Arai with the peak helps me shield my eyes in bright sunlight during the rest of the year. ( Eye and nerve damage so i cant "squint" my right eye hence the black visor all the time)
I also have an old Arai Astro R in my favourite ever paintjob. I had an old Shoei Raid spray painted with this design about 20 years ago after seeing it on Iain Duffus helmets but when Arai brought it out as a factory issue i bought it straight away. Its now about 15-16 years old and its rarely worn on the bike and mostly used when out with my son on car trackdays and has a couple of stone chips picked up over the years on the front ... the helmet and black visor must have done getting on for 150,000 miles
All have a chrome sticker on the back with my nickname ....stuck one on the Arai Astro back in the VD days during rideouts and kept with the habit ever since
What have you lot got ?

Re: Show us your helmets
Just the old Shoei for me, with a 24/7 dark visor and obligatory sparky tape;

Re: Show us your helmets
I'm in a weird position where neither of mine actually feel like 'mine' at all.

The above came to me because Mrs Weeksy bought it after trying mine on, but when she tried it on track it was found to be too big. So i ended up buying it off her.
My other is the exact same Shoei NXR model but in white as i ran out of ideas when purchasing a new one

Mine just get a baby wipe when back home and back on the shelf. I usually carry some while out, just incase.

Re: Show us your helmets
Now is it probably my fav design of all time, but they only do it on the RX7 these days (and they're a bit too spendy)
That one had an argument with a tyre wall ad Cadwell and split the chin piece.

Re: Show us your helmets
I've got a pair of Arais, can't remember the model, their mid range ones, one is red whiye and blue, and the other is Ducati branded black and dayglo yellow with a fancy sun visor, cost £180 from M and P.
edit: Chaser V is the model of both of them

Re: Show us your helmets
I took the external visor off mine - haven’t worn it much up until recently.

Re: Show us your helmets
I almost bought the same one from M and P but realised just how much grief I would get explaining why I needed 4 helmets

Re: Show us your helmets
I was told if you want it buy it, she said the same when I bought a new bike.
I've bought the 5mm liner for mine as the 10mm it came with was a bit tight on my head.

Re: Show us your helmets
Got a few. Arai Signet GT, which must be over 25 years old and is languishing in a box in the loft of plenty. Alongside it is my 19 year old Arai Tour X. I bought a Bell MX-9 last year, but wish I hadn't. My daily lid is the one below, which I only got cos it was £10 more than buying a visor for my old HJC!

Re: Show us your helmets
I'm surprised how many of you keep old lids. Somewhere around 8 years mine go in the bin.
