Going up to Salamanca for a few days in mid February, and off to Czechia and Slovakia in early May. Hopefully the Austrian passes will be open by then, otherwise a detour needed.

It may be warmer here than the UK, but now I'm used to the hot weather, 15°c is positively freezing

It's definitely been dry enough to go out up here, only just above zero early morning though (and often below!!)

BUT, I was being 'sensible' when I stored the Monster, so it is in a garage that I can't get it out of until end of March/early April ish. Depending on how much snow we get in the spring :D

Mind you, I figured I would spend more time skiing if I can't get to the bike! LOL

But, as soon as the access is free of snow/ice, I'll be heading down there to get her out and go for a bimble/play!! Only day times cos it'll be freezing still at night. Sooooo looking forward to it :D :D :D

Still dragging on... I thought it'd be dry this morning but again there's overnight moisture... it just seems to get nearly dry enough in parts, then it's too dark and the moisture returns lol.... it'd be nice to get a properly dry day, even if a bit cold.

I'm starting to fill out the diary with presentations for spring and summer.

So far I have talks booked in Uffington, Uxbridge (March), New Zealand (via Zoom unfortunately), Rochester (April) and Truro (May).

I've got another two in organisation for May in Exeter and Poole, and finally one in October in Cheltenham.

Looks like a lot of riding (hopefully, if the weather's fine :) )

It was almost dry enough today, but was sitting at 6deg and a cold wind, so I decided not to. If it had been 100% dry I'd have gone for it. But nah.

I've been out a fair bit but the sticky crap the mix with the salt is still on the roads, despite a couple of days with decent amounts of rain. Cleaning the bike is bad enough but clothing collects it too.

Got my tax reminder yesterday, so need to do that before the end of the month. Bike hasn't moved since mid December. Insurance renewal coming up and the first big service. The weather continues to be utter gash. I'm not thinking about getting out at the minute and the long term forecast suggests the rest of Feb will be wet/windy.

The gritters were out again last night. It's a lovely sunny day here, but salt everywhere. It's almost as if they know there's a dry spell coming,so they spread the shit and that's game over for another few weeks.

I’m not very good with road numbers but it may be. It’s the nice twisty one that goes past some rusty old oil tanks. Is that the one?

I saw two other bikes, both Africas twins.

Yeah that's the boy.

Funnily we saw 4 ATs which may have been the same ones about 2ish in Goring, so 15-25 mins from where you were.

Bit of a fair weather road biker I must admit, but the combination of shitty tarmac & low sun don't do it for me anymore.

However, I've just discovered off roading & a shitty lane can be a thing of great amusement & hilarity this time of year. I did 80 miles last Saturday from Bath to Kemble, 70 of which appeared to have no grip at all.

You never know, you might see a mt07 with red wheels hooning around there, once the temperature goes up, the wind blows from the south and the snowdrops have gone back to bed. 😉👍

That's a lovely road... :) I enjoy riding the Berkshire Downs... must take a trip out there soon.
