Re: KTM 390 Adventure?
I bought one! From a dealer not too far away. A used 2020 bike with just under 2000 miles on it.
Couchy, if you want to have a go on it you're very welcome, once the salt has gone from the roads.
Iccy, I think you're right, a review I read also said the power delivery is pretty linear / bland. But I really only want it for pottering about and maybe a little very light off roading so I think it'll be ok.

Awesome and thanks, I just missed one local by a day.it would be ace in the peaks, the lanes aren’t too hard and there’s a lot of twisty tarmac too. I’ll keep lookingAsian Boss wrote: ↑Sat Feb 12, 2022 5:43 pm I bought one! From a dealer not too far away. A used 2020 bike with just under 2000 miles on it.

Re: KTM 390 Adventure?
It turned up today. It's quite tight getting it out of the garage between my car and the neighbour's so I'm very glad I didn't get an X-Adv or African Twin.
Christ knows when I can get a go on it with the weather being so bad. Maybe Monday. It's a nice little thing though.

Re: KTM 390 Adventure?
I took it for a quick gan this morning before the rain starts again. It's a braw little thing. Not that little actually. I'll have to fold my car's wing mirror back every time I get it out, I hope that doesn't banjax it in some way.
I'm very happy with the bike though. I think I'll order a top box for it. Probably the Givi Trekker, in black, 42 litres.

Re: KTM 390 Adventure?
Well, I'm really enjoying it. I've been using it for local trips; letting people out of side roads and applying the steering lock.
When I first started it it vibrated quite a lot at tickover and I thought it was going to be like a rough old Harley. I always say that ('rough old Harley') in a Dutch accent, as I first heard it from my good friend Wout Meppelink. What am I saying, it wasn't Wout Meppelink, it was Joost van Overzee.
Anyway, it's not like a rough old Harley at all, it goes really nicely. I think it's doing between 70 and 80 mpg too which is really good. I think I only really bought it because it seems mad to start up a fairly large diesel engined car for short journeys.
I bought the topbox but I rounded out the head of a 5mm allen bolt which I needed to remove in order to fit it. So I'll have to take it to a local tooley goon to get it sorted now. What a ruddy tit!

Victoria at Wednesday badminton was very taken with it and said I was very cool and should get a tattoo because I was 'a biker'. Then showed me hers.
