Meet locations

Post by Couchy »

We’ve had BPW and FOD so what else can be suggested for the next one ?

We’ve got Sherwood pines local but it’s very much a trail centre. Enough for a few hours though
Leeds urban bike park is small but fun mainly jumps and trail
Just seen this near Wigan which looks worth a visit http://pimbobikepark.co.uk/home

All the above are good for all levels and no uplift needed. Any more and where next ?

I can do some trail guiding around Friston Forest singletrack near Eastbourne, (approx 25 -30 miles riding for 20 odd miles of natural singletrack) as well as some of the Sarf Downs if you want epic xc BUT we've only got 2 months left before to turns into hard slog and the Friston single track turns to clag. Any interest, and I'll arrange a date or I can sort something next year when it dries out (if we've not all been killed off by COVID-20).

We're also on Dartmoor in late October and I know a few routes round there if anyone wants a truly epic day out.....Lustleigh Cleave area goes from this is fun granite moor land to ohhhh shhhittt this is HUGE in two corners......I love the place.

Yep, ridden Follow the Dog and Monkey many times, I enjoy it, makes the best of elevation for smiles. Locals know of a lot of off piste stuff but I think its better ridden after a dry spell.

Cannocks a good call and I really fancy a trip to Leeds, looks like it's got something for everyone, not a great deal of climbing and it's near a hospital :D . Chocy and I are checking out Lee and Cragg quarry next weekend so will report back.

Not heard of pimbo, only 30 minutes from me, looks like it's shut at the moment but about to open again anytime now.

Another good meet up could be the Penmachno trail in snowdonia.
