My TCX are the short trainer type boots... i regret getting the waterproof as i have really hot feet and these increase that ! My feet are soaked when i take them off due to sweating.. I may invest in some less warm ones.

Track i have RST Tractech and they've been absolutely awesome over many years, although i think i've only got a couple left in the soles as i press hard on the pegs it seems.

I reckon in the last week you've had more lids than I've had hot dinners

Well, I've not worn any of them.

That said, I've not worn this one yet as I've just cycled to the pub.

Thought they'd been disbanded...or is it a base for some nice artwork. 🤷‍♂️

Right - I've had enough.

Can anyone recommend me a two piece / throw over waterproof that doesn't leak ? Had a Richa Typhoon one piece suit, but that leaks so it's going back. Or just bite the bullet and call in GO Outdoors for some Goretex kit ?

No problem riding in the rain, just fed up getting soaked.

TIA
Alan.

I bought some waterproofs from Decathlon for sidecar racing, cost me £15.

They're waterproof, but fuck me do you feel like a portion of boil in the bag rice!

Probably not so bad if you're not moving around so much.

Held Rainblock gear doesn't leak (but it's not cheap!).

I had the typhoon one piece aswel and yes, they leak, was a ride triangle aswel. 🤷‍♂️ I took a gamble and bought the typhoon jacket and so far its been leak free, over a pair of gortex pants. Makes a good waterproof jacket for other times aswel...Elasticated waist band, pockets, easy access to inside jacket pockets. Good quality. 👍

The Super Speed 3 jacket looks excellent. Unusually good for Dainese, it’s full-grain leather (or D-Skin 2.0 as the Italians call it) with level 2 armour

What’s all the fuss about? Italian pizzazz, fashionable elbow sliders and a (vestigial) race hump. And Dainese has – as they say in Italy – a certain je ne sais quoi

Also, Dainese says that the Super Speed 3 jacket has "High Performance Bottom Construction" :!: Have you got a high-performance bottom?

Well the good news was/is, it fits and is comfy and happy :)

I think from a wind noise it's my XSR that's a minor issue more than the helmet lol. Although the previous HJC was deffo noisier

But riding mine yesterday and the 2 monsters, weirdly, the 696 Monster which has the smallest screen of all 3, was the quietest.

Well I’ve always had nothing but alpinestars (Italian) and love it it. But last year a got a 4sr suit and feel some much better than any of the A* suits I tried, the fit is great. I never tried on a top of the range one though. Plus for the last few years I’ve worn Five race gloves and found them better then the equivalent A*, always fancied a Dainese jacket though. All my jackets have had the hump (looks cool) my suits got elbow sliders and I hope I’ve never use them.

To go with the jeans I got earlier, I just bought these:

and these:

Really pleased with the little gloves; seem to be well made (goatskin) and with good protection and attention to detail. Good fit for me, which can be difficult to achieve. £59.99 in the sale at OYB.

And I finally found some armour (for the jeans) that feels comfortable (in fact, you wouldn’t know it was there compared to the 3 or 4 other types/brands I tried:

CE-1 certified, REALLY thin and flexible (although I had to sew them into the pockets as they don’t have Velcro) - blurb here: https://www.revitsport.com/en/learning- ... ive-armor/

Haven’t bought any new kit for ages, hence sudden splurge
