When I did first trackday in 1999 (after 20 years away ) it looked so wide and open through there. And obviously much safer.

I overheard a conversation between Emmett and Harris about lines at Charlie. Strange thing was , this was at Brands Hatch.

Yeah, when did that become a thing, I remember being told "it's actually two corners but take it as a single corner" back when I listened to good advice, and was fast enough to need it.

Re: Racing Quiz
Nope, saw it on Faceberk after I answered, my thought process was who's tall and skinny and rode a Suzuki at Daytona in the mid 80s.
My question is who was Schwantz's team mate for the Daytona 200 the same year as this picture was taken.

Re: Racing Quiz
It's definitely Giacomo Agostini on the MV-3 (and I'd guess the 500). As for the circuit it does look very TT-ish.

Re: Racing Quiz
Yeah - almost impossible to tell apart in B/W. As an aside I was spectating on the Island in 1971 when Ago broke down on the first lap of the 350 race. He came past us sounding peachy but just a few yards down the road the bike stunbled, fluffed and then just stopped.Yorick wrote: ↑Mon Feb 07, 2022 7:34 pmCoolio. This was a very rare happening. If MVs broke down, Count Agusta would regard it as a personal slight. And he wasn't a man to be trifled with.
