The sleet started as we got on top of the Downs and the wind picked up so it was sideways sleet. That was rather character building and I now need to wash the floors in the house and I think the shower has died from mud shock as I didn’t get undressed before I got in it.

I am so flipping broken……I had to un block the rear triangle about 4 times after the mud clogged me to a standstill.

15 miles and 2000ft of climbing today, Friston singletrack drying well, tacky mostly with only a few wet bits and a couple of patches of Teflon death on Doris n Burt. Got a little chilly at the toes towards the end as 5:10’s leech heat from your feet very well.

Me and the dog in a strangely dry Friston.

FOrgive me if i'm wrong, but i don't know the area well.. but i think this was from another hill, looking towards Watership Down. We'd ridden past Andrew Lloyd Webers house apparently.

Trails were mostly great, a few sloppy bits, but overall, excellent.

Didn't have the HRM on today, but thought the first 30 mins was a bit harder than i'd have liked.... but after that i found myself and was cruising along happily.

Last Friday I spent the day training with wyemtb, I thought the day was going to be mostly about drops and jumps but it was actually mostly about cornering & body positioning with a little bit of drops and then jumping the smaller table tops in the skills area.

Yesterday me and the boy went out and did the red tail at fod with him riding my old Cannondale. I spent the ride practicing the body positioning and having a laugh with the lad.
My legs and back are not working today after using different muscles to ride 😁

We've had a bit of rain, the trails have turned to stodge, it was like pedalling an E-bike with a flat battery. 11miles and 1700ft of climbing and I called it a day. The ride was in no way helped by the skinful I had last night, finished off with a large Sloe Gin & Tonic.
