Herts highways don't miss an opportunity to grit. Anything under 5c and they are slinging the stuff all over the shop with abandon.

Last yeah there were a couple of nights they salted when it was 7c. Made me wonder of the boss has shares

Reminds me of live firing exercises in the Army when we were always told to make sure we used up all the ammunition issued for the ex..... "If you give any in at the end they wont give us enough next time"

Maybe the gritter chief is working on the same principle

Think i seen a gritter once this winter in East Lothian and TBH it was not that cold the next morning. Very mild and Dry winter so far.

4 degrees here and the gritters have just gone past my house on the way out …… so much for the cleaner roads
