I'll be watching it no matter what, but wonder how it will all pan out.

Re: MotpGP Coverage
It was stupidly expensive to watch MotoGP if you weren't a BT customer. Probably not so bad if you watched the football as well, but I only wanted to watch MotoGP and it worked out £15 a month.
I watched all last years WSBK and BSB races on Eurosport player for £19.99 (for the whole year).

If I were a betting man I reckon if Discovery get it it'll go behind the Discovery+ paywall currently at £7 a month, and it'll mark the start of the end for the Eurosport channels.

Re: MotpGP Coverage
Just looked.
Discovery+ is £29.99 for the year if you buy before 22/02.
That's £10 more than I paid just for Eurosport Player last year, but you get all the Discovery stuff too.

Probs to get the Olympic crowd in, I'm guessing it's more than double that for a normal yearKungFooBob wrote: ↑Fri Feb 04, 2022 9:44 am Discovery+ is £29.99 for the year if you buy before 22/02.

Re: MotpGP Coverage
Yeah it's £59.99 for the year.
I've just subscribed at £29.99 so I can watch the bike racing... and as an added bonus, there's all 17 seasons of Wheeler Dealers to watch!

Re: MotpGP Coverage
Well, there's still a couple of years to go of Dorna's contract with BT,so I'll not get too worried yet.
Whatever happens,we'll have to pay for it one way or another. It suits me currently as I use BT for broadband anyway,so get a bit of a deal on sport, but half the year is wasted for me,since I only have BT Sport for the bikes,I don't watch football. If someone parcelled all the bike racing up in a single bike channel,I'd prefer that. At least I'd be paying for what I want to watch.

Where’s the option for that? I’ve been paying the monthly price for it.KungFooBob wrote: ↑Fri Feb 04, 2022 9:30 am It was stupidly expensive to watch MotoGP if you weren't a BT customer. Eurosport always do it. First couple of months of the year they flog it cheap. I've paid £20 a year for the last two years.wull wrote: ↑Fri Feb 04, 2022 1:25 pmWhere’s the option for that? Looked today and you can't get it on it's own anymore, you have to have the full Discovery+ subscription for £30... if you buy it before the 22nd.

Re: MotpGP Coverage
Looks like i have a couple of years of using the kids BT Player log on to watch the MotoGP before i need to change. I already get Eurosport as part of my sky package so gets me BSB and WSB already. If the pay monthly rates to watch the GP's get silly i'll go back to downloading them a few hours after the race and watch them that way again

Bloody hope not. She's a bit artificial now and had too much work done.

Re: MotpGP Coverage
I usually only watch MotoGP. 26 weekends plus the wife likes to watch F1 so that’s another few dates gone it means we never go anywhere on a Sunday for about half the year.
However I did watch a bit more of WSB last year when Rae had a bit more competition.
Cost wise doesn’t concern me but if came to a toss up and I had to pick one I’d go for Moto GP any day.
