Problems, problems!
And weird ones at that!
I joined yonks ago, and posted twice, but haven't been on here for months.
Tried to log on today, and failed. Totally unable to post anything, although I could see it all. I could even subscribe but no option to post new thread or reply.
Quick e-mail to Admin, who suggested delete cookies, and/or try another browser. Thanks Weeksy.
Cookies cleared., still same problems using Chrome.
Tried Firefox (NOT the latest version- it won't update) - same problems
Tried Opera - different problems but still wont work. Will not even accept cookies.
Finally made it using Edge
All running on a laptop with Windows 10.
Anyway, I'm here, Edge is not my usual browser, but hey ho!

What could be interesting is if you pm me your password and I try it on a few different machines and platforms

Re: Problems, problems!
Which Edge?
The wanky one that shipped with Windows 10, or the newer better chromium based one?
If you're using the new one, then great, it's better than all the rest and Chrome addins still work (cos it's based on Chromium, innit).
I use it for everything these days, it's faster than Chrome.

I am not sure - it came with Windows but has surely been updated 27 times by now. How do I tell?KungFooBob wrote: ↑Sat Aug 01, 2020 9:04 pm Which Edge?

Re: Problems, problems!
Thanks mate, but I fear the issue is in my machine. Several other commercial sites won't work properly with Chrome, and it tells me Firefox is out of date, but it refuses to update it.weeksy wrote: ↑Sat Aug 01, 2020 9:01 pmI'd love to be more help, but there's nothing in the config I can change.Cousin Jack wrote: ↑Sat Aug 01, 2020 8:57 pm And weird ones at that!

Time for a poke around and general clean up I think. In the meantime I have access via Edge

Re: Problems, problems!
I'm having some log-in problems on Chrome, too. It logs me in, but when I try to post, it wants me to log in again, but then rejects the login. Sometimes I have too try multiple times. Just now it wanted me to log in (to post this!) and when I did so, it just said "Topic does not exist" and then retured to the login screen. Did this multiple timess.

Re: Problems, problems!
Yeah Chrome is doing weird stuff here too at times with cookies and really weird things with sign-in/names/accounts... I'd love to know why but some things i cannot do much about.Dodgy knees wrote: ↑Tue Aug 04, 2020 9:18 am Yep chrome update... just been on tracer forum and getting little pop up sign in thingy.
