We expect (and are entitled to expect) better from the PM of the UK.

Mainly because leopards don't have stripes, they have spots/rosettes. :D

It's the Eton version of Darren holding your coat while you shout "Come on then!" at another bloke walking away from you, almost out of sight.

I am disappointed that it didn't lead to a duel at dawn on the misty meadows of Runnymede
TBH, it is the sort of noncommittal response you would give to a pissed up/ coked up / red mist blind mate ...

And lets face it - if you have been to Eton, I am sure you don't need Boris to be your henchman

When he was a journalist he lied to the editors, when he was the editor he lied to the proprietors and when he was Prime Minister he lied to everyone. Consistency can be a virtue. :hmmm:

It's interesting to note the change in some peoples opinions from when we were on TRC, especially the way some people are doing it in such a way to make it seem they knew Boris was like this from the start.

I believe that bullshitting that yer always right us a management trait.

Isn't it though?
Pretty sure he was being hailed as the messiah, the voice of the people, up until recently. It was just convenient to ignore his very obvious failings, the lack of integrity, the self-interest, the easy-slip into racism, when he was singing policies you wanted to hear. Every despot and tosspot potential leader sings about "making the country great again" after all.

July 2019 was then and this is now though, what was needed then, isn't needed now, what the UK needs now is a decent manager, not a devil-may-care maverick, and he certainly isn't a decent manager.
...
Indeed, times change.

Johnson is self-evidently not what is now required and will therefore have to be replaced. He will of course go kicking and screaming as all PMs do.

He also isn't an accountant and his fiscal policy is going to hurt the UK economy, inflation by any real measure is about 8%.
Somewhat similar to Mr Johnson's role model, Winston Churchill at the end of WW2 when the Conservatives lost the 1945 and 1950 general elections under his leadership. He did lead them to victory in 1951 so some hope for Mr Johnson if his career follows the same path.

Looks like fallout from this lie is building. Ok to sneak it out on facebook and forums as fact, but a mistake to raise it in parliament .....
Desperate times for the PM who can't stop fibbing.

We were all culpable of blindly ignoring Savile. Creepy filth from about 7 minutes in, laughing celebrities, chuckling audience, primetime telly There's masses of rose-tinted retrospective "Oh yes I knew what he was up to" bollocks on the subject.

Statements were taken and the CPS was consulted to see if a prosecution could be undertaken - the answer from the CPS was no, Saville walked.

Now apparently Starmer didn't personally handle the case, but he was the Director of Public Prosecutions, so if the boss of that department can't be held accountable for the results of that department, then what is he responsible for?

And if we're going down that route then let's shut up about the party, Boris didn't organise it, he was just the boss at the time.
Is the boss responsible or not? Confused .

It's very shaky ground for a PM to be on if, in your attempt to deflect from your fibbery to allowing what was basically a house-party, you falsely accuse a sitting MP in The House of aiding and abetting a pedo.

3 seconds after the pathetic contrite schoolboy apology, he was back at doing what he does best - deflection and bluster.

The press conference for the Ukraine/UK Summit was embarrassing yesterday. Two countries about to go to war and it was all me-me-me questions about Boris's (lack of) integrity. I actually thought he spoke quite well on the subject - but nobody's interested because he's such a bellend.

If he does get the boot, he won't be too unhappy.
He achieved the pinnacle of a career in politics.

And he'll make shitloads more money outside politics. Admittedly, most of it will be grubby and dirty :obscene-birdiedoublered:

He didn't say that, he said that whilst he was the DPP Starmer failed to prosecute Saville - that is a fact.
There should be an investigation then, but there won't be, because there is no evidence.

So, back to Boris then - where there is some evidence ...

Is the DPP responsible if their is not enough evidence to charge someone?
I have never been charged with anything yet, surely the DPP should resign!
