It’s been sent back to them and they say it’ll get sorted , it arrived with them late last week and I suspect they’ll need to get some new dropouts ordered from paragon in the US so I’m not expecting a quick turn around.

As to the cause, I’ll see what they say once they have debrazed the old dropout out.

Curtis are at a loss, it's the first dropout that's failed like that, no sign of an internal defect on the crack face. They have people riding AM9's much larger than me and in far more rocky area and no failures.

Chalk it up to shit happens.

Leaning towards Kawasaki Green or Orange.

Most of the invisframe fitted today along with some proper 3M helitape stuff on the down tube and other areas vulnerable to rub and strikes. A few more bits to fit and then I can start refitting parts.

I've recently fitted 2 dyedbro kits. They're not as refined as invisiframe but a lot thicker material

Also had a call from Curtis to ask if I had taken delivery of the frame, they've actually changed the dropout design because of this and upped the strength by around 20% according to their calculations (they're 1mm thicker now).

You can work out for yourself if the "20% stronger" is true using Young's Modulus.

You can work out for yourself if the "20% stronger" is true using Young's Modulus (assuming by "stronger" they mean "stiffer").

They had to beef it up because you is hard - or because they are now going to have to do a recall as they under-engineered?
Odd that a company with such a good reputation could build too "light".

It’s the first one that’s broken like that and they’ve built them for years so I think it has been beefed up as a modicum of caution rather than built too light.
