It's a GT380 and therefore best scrapped

Matey had a black 380 back in the 70s,my early RD350 Yams used to eat it.

Triples had a lovely noise,though.

That one isn't bad. Don't like paintjob, front guard and seat unit.

I quite like the styling, although it's a little bit Hello Dolly for someone like me, I'd look ridiculous(er).

But if the engine is a bit shit (and I'll take your word for it) it's a definite no. I've gone off air cooled motors - they're too mechanically noisy and likely to go pop.

I don't remember GT380s ever producing enough power to go pop, they were jingly, jangly, vibey and slow.

The 550 was a better engine.

Well apart from the lack of airbox (caused by the monoshock) I kind of like it.

It's quite a nice bike,I think it would have been even nicer with RWU forks & twin shocks & a airbox

Apart from a mates brother having one I know jackshit about the 380 but I would quite like that if it didn't have the 1970s glittery paint finish

IIRC, the RD350s and RD400s were far better. And the GT550 weren't much dearer.

I reckon anything that has survived this long and with that sort of pedigree has gone pop at least a few times by now. ;)

One of the clowns I worked with crafted a ram air cowl from sheet alloy and stuck it on his Bantam. :wtf:

The faster you go, the more power you get!
