It was a remarkable performance really. The Belgians tried to bully the race with numbers and attacks, but his responses were awesome.
It was crazy to see at times him looking like he was cruising along, barely breathing, but at a pace quicker than the rest somehow ! Bonkers.
He's a complete rider that's for sure.

He could very easily be MTB XC champ this year as well. As for road, depends how Team GB approach it...........
