This thread reaches a new high level of pretentious pomposity.

Iccy, with your Ducati you just needed to book it in at an expensive mechanic. Then it would have started working,
at least until just AFTER the appointment was supposed to be.

That's one of the funniest lines about a motorcycle I've read... thanks for a genuine LOL.

Funny one this...remember years ago was looking for a new bike and narrowed it down to two - Ducati Multistrada and a Harley Road Glide. Used to work for Ducati so there's a bit of a fancy to the brand and had a few Harley's. Wanted something to tour on and i liked both. Went up to Riders in Bristol one afternoon - who were brill and did an attended ride on the MS first - What a machine - did everything I ever wanted and more but lacked ''soul'' and ''balls'' - not like the Ducati's me and Weeksy remember. I thought I'm gonna be bored with this in 6 months...Jumped on the Harley - heavy as F**k and a gearbox like an old tractor and got a mile down the ring road- but piggin 'eck did it have soul and I got to have one. Asked the missus what she thought and she just smiled @ the Harley...
6 years later and 20,000 miles still got it. Been thinking about changing it but still total strangers come up and say what a nice bike it is..
But still keep looking at used Ducati Monster S4RS, 998's and MS 1200 Enduro's...
