I was feeling a bit 'off' late last night,so I went to bed around 11pm or so. I woke about 8am and decided I'd give my walk a miss.

I was woken by a text at 9.45 and definitely felt not right. Anyway I got up and made my way to the bog, came out after washing my hands and woke up on the floor. Got up again and went a few steps and woke up again on the floor,so it was 4 wheel drive back to bed. Crocked my left knee and shit too.

After a while I felt fine, did a LFT and it came up negative. Back to shivering now and hugging the woodburner, even though it's not a really cold day.

Something got me for sure.

It can only get better!
I get the shivering when I’ve got yet another infection. Anything could be causing that do you think??
GWS anyway.

Wasn't feeling too great yesterday and whilst driving and wondering why (dreading the thought of having to test and isolate!) I realised that I'd worked 5 days in a row, skied on the day off, then worked another long day. When I'm driving all day I don't drink enough (cos I don't want to have to keep stopping, especially with passengers on board that just want to get to resort/airport!!) and I don't eat enough cos I figure I'm only sitting, so don't need much food!!! When I ski I definitely don't drink enough for similar reasons, and tend not to eat pre ski and then wait till I get home!!

Well, after getting home about 5pm and drinking quite a lot of water/tea, I started to feel better! So didn't test, it was dehydration   You'd have thought I'd know better after all these years out here

Anyway - headed out to ski with the same people from Tuesday, plus two more. Had breakfast and 2 pints of tea first!! LOL

Damn they are quick!! I mean, 2 of the 3 from Tuesday were bloody quick. Mostly with minimal turns!! But even when they put in turns I pretty much lose sight of them!!

The extra 2 today were similar    But it's doing me some good. I'm getting quicker. Definitely MUCH more confident. I still have to check my speed regularly when I feel that it's a bit excessive!! But tis great fun. On pistes that a few weeks ago I'd have had a meltdown and gone home!!!

Oh, and the two new guys said at one point - come this way, it's off piste but all skied out and much flatter than the piste. Note to self. They are lying bastards!!  Ok, the incline of the mountain (incline the right word?) was 'flatter' - but it was fcking moguls :angry-cussingblack: Now THAT I was unimpressed with at the time and for a bit after. But once I'd recovered from the stress/shock, I am actually quite proud that I did it and did it mostly quite well. Remembered what I'd been taught a long time ago by my friendly instructor. And I was complimented by both of the guys that suggested the run, so that's ok!

Short ski tomorrow, take a mates car for a service (offered to do it months ago, not realising how little time I'd actually get on the slopes :( ) then a very early night for a 5am pick up on Saturday!

Despite surrounding stresses still being there, I bloody love living up here :D  :bblonde: :bblonde:

Started skiing about 10am, met a friend and skied to Montalbert (cos I haven't for about 4 or 5 years!!)

We sat between the kids class signs - so needed a photo!! LOL

On the Champagny side of the resort - lovely sunshine but after a lunch type break, the snow got a bit mushy. Or spring snow as my friendly instructor calls it!! Not my favourite

Another long day of Step Mother issues. I've just got in after seeing her taken off to hospital. Hopefully, she wont come out and just pass away peacefully...

Reminds me of when Mrs D and I used to get two snowboards in her MX5. One vertical on each side of the passenger with arms wrapped around them :D

Had first bike ride in 5 weeks with Penny.
Finger is a long way from good. Was OK at her pace but when I went quicker I wasn't able to hold the bar properly on the rough stuff.
But at least I exercised the other fingers on that hand.

Hmm.

My wife has a small business selling handbags and larger bags, could have got you a discount code I'm sure. I'd put her website link up, but i'm guessing it's against the rules?

THere's very little that's against the rules here mate, can't imagine why you think that would be.

I don't want the place all spammed up, loads of forums have rules against it.

In that case....

Small business that she set up at the outbreak of covid, she's worked really hard setting it all up. The company even managed to be on the fashion segment of 'This Morning' (link https://www.itv.com/thismorning/article ... e-all-need) which is a major achievement in my eyes.

Yawn, and then grab a cold beer and sit in the sun all day cracking one off........

Do you need to be a cock all the time? I don't comment on any of your put down replies normally, but this is a bit more personal. I can take all the abuse you can throw at me, but not towards something my wife who has worked bloody hard (whilst holding down an executive job) and spent money putting together. So sorry, but do fuck off!!
