It's in the Highlands of Bonnie Scotland (west coast), but I'll be damned if I can remember exactly where.

I planned carefully so that the tyres were just on their track limit, but loads in middle for touring

On checking it definitely does. And that ties in with where I was that day. My mates had decided to go and be all manly and do Applecross, I wanted to see scenery and take photos. So I guess that is Loch Maree in the foreground.Hairybiker84 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 19, 2022 4:18 pmLooks like Slioch in the backgoundmangocrazy wrote: ↑Mon Jan 17, 2022 10:37 pmIt's in the Highlands of Bonnie Scotland (west coast), but I'll be damned if I can remember exactly where.
Here's another pic of the road that goes ever on, taken on the same day.

Yes was reading an account of a guy who made Slioch his final Munro, and he made more than one mention of the little bloodsuckers...

Re: Motorcycling photos you just like
Years ago my wife and I were coming down from Ben Klibreck, we could see our car from quite a distance and a large herd of cows were loitering around it. By the time we got there they had gone but their entourage was still hanging around, by the time we'd got our boots off we'd been eaten alive. I think we got the last one out of the car Manchester way!

Track safety has come on a bit since these days in the late 1980's and the marshal posts are a bit better
