It's also very loud, sounds really nice though, real rasp to it.
No maybe about it. Link pipe is too long, can is too bulky and long.

Yes, but I don't like the rivetted band ends.

There's a good chance that the standard quiet can will go on and stay on once the clamp for it arrives.

The Micron I had anyway, I was just waiting for a 2" to 2.25" adapter to arrive before trying it.

They're ugly, loud and I don't think they work very well, it feels a little flat high up in the rev range, but this could be because the engine feels so much like a GSXR 750 engine and it doesn't have the same top end rush of power.

That looks gash with the Micron.

I think the IXIL looks OK but if you're not happy with it then maybe go standard as you say, although imo the standard doesn't look good either.

Yeah it's obviously personal taste but I think the IXIL looks pretty decent.

I'm tempted to turn the silver tips on the IXIL over, I think this would look better.
It's also fairly loud, which is a bit of a pain, but nowhere near as loud as the Micron was.

I think I'm only fannying about with it because I'm a bit bored, I should really fiddle with the bikes that need fiddling with.

I had underseat IXIL pipes on my Z750 and they made my ears bleed. They were soooo loud. At the time I liked it, but not so sure I would now. I did try and put the baffles back in but that just changed the tone rather than the volume and they rattled so out they came.

Go to the first post. They are the ones fitted to it when he bought it.

I think that if I want it quiet the only choice is the standard silencer, the Ixil is quietest of what else I've got (Micron or fake SC Project can)

Those noisy pipes might help move the 'road pigeons' on. Then again, most are deaf I reckon. 🐦
