Sweat chills quickly so if we come back down and then stand round at 5deg, people are going to be cold.

So for me, I'd wanna get to car, throw some dry tops on before standing or sitting outside for coffee and cake.

I would assume so, if not at the Hurtwood then definitely at Peaslake Village Stores given they sell cake.

Time wise is a bit difficult to say. Let me have a think and I'll drop you a message.

Righty ho. You could drop me a text at some point when about to head back to Peaslake, no worries if it's all a bit too uncertain though. If the weather's like today you should have a great day on the hill although there's a fog warning until 11am locally so it could be a bit murky in the dips early on.

Last time they went back to the cars, loaded up the bikes and drove (the 300 yards) to The Hurtwood/Peaslake shop.

Depending what time you finish and if people actually want to stick around a while I'd recommend inside at The Hurtwood in the warm rather than standing outside the shop (even with their legendary cheese straws).

(There's a mid-ride hot drinks opportunity on the top of one of the hills - at Leith Hill tower which is usually like the Ace Café for MTBs at weekends).

Cracking ride, nice to revisit some old trails (its been 10 years since I last rode BKB) and be shown some new ones by Beancounter. Great banter and company.

Weeksy Minimus should have his frame filled with dwarf star lead. He's rather quick and him and his mates have no fear and lovely style over jumps.

Well that was a whole bunch of fun. Seeing the fellas from here and riding bikes. Epic.

Highlight of the day was seeing Ming who I didn't know could ride anything other than the sdw go past me when I took the roity high levels be following the youngest of the gang, I went high and bang, bike on my inside, wtf, didn't know anyone else was following me lol. Great riding blokey.

My o n highlight was hitting every jump, drop, tree root and launch without a consideration for them. Also trying to keep the body position better and spent all day hanging onto the wheel of the youngest rider who usually smokes me. Today I was with him all the way on every trail.

Kudos to Moofo and crust who clearly found things challenging but kept in going and looked like they enjoyed it.

Can't wait for the next one.

We ended up in the jump area with the crazies launching the gaps.



They met ollie Wilkins who's some internet hero of theirs and he joined in towing them into the bottom jumps.

It's changed a bit since then, BKB especially - it was probably known as Reservoir Dogs back then - clearly before Richard Kelly/All Biked Up worked some magic on it.

Sorry for the late reply. Glad you all enjoyed. I was pretty broken at the end. Got home, dumped the bike in the garage and promptly fell asleep in the bath.

An observation, not a criticism, an observation. It looks too small to me, bars too low and too close to you. You look, to me, scrunched up and uncomfortable on it.

The post was a bit low, but I do like it lower than most would. It's got a 40mm stem on it. I think I have 1 spacer of 5mm I could lift them but that's about it.
