My Dad was cremated and his ashes scattered in th Garden of Remembance at crematorium. Mum ditto. No markers, but they are remembered.
Wife's parents are buried, 1/2 a mile from where we live now. We are the only people who ever visit, and not often. Wife's sister lives 10 miles away and hasn't been for years. When the wife goes no one will ever visit.
When I go I want no markers, if I deserve to be remembered I will be, if I am not remembered a stone will make no differerence. Donate my body to a medical school, or use it for dog food, makes no difference to me, just don't waste good money - spend it on drink.
