I finally got paid, which made me happy twice, once because I got paid and again because it's so late I only have to wait 3 weeks to get paid again
I also got well tipped

This bad boy has been around for a few weeks. He’s had most of the fish from any ponds in the village. Beautiful though.

I've skied better than I have for 4 years. I've laughed more in one afternoon/evening that I have in a bloody long time! And I've had a fab french lesson, online, whilst a bit squiffy and actually managed to have a good conversation! (Normally if I have alcohol I freeze and can't attempt french!!)

Finding a frozen puddle and being unable to walk past it without tapping it with my toe and hearing it crack...

Tractor driver today. I came off a roundabout onto a road that was the A1 from Haddington East Lothian before they built the duel carriage way. I could see probably a quarter mile ahead what was the tractor then two cars and a truck. I caught up then about another five cars and a van behind me. Next opportunity the guy pulled over to let us all pass. Obviously not a cyclist

Re: Insignificant Things That Make You Happy.
I managed to get out snowboarding today
We haven't had any snow for a while so its icy and faaassst !!!!!
I wasn't pushing too hard but did plenty of 180's off the flat and landed a few 360's off lips and side hits. I stopped for a beer at the Ski Lodge in La Tania, which was so good, after hooning a few more laps, I went back for another and a bite to eat.
I then took a long route home via Meribel and while I was tempted to lap the last run a few times, my abilities were waining, so I had to admit to being old and headed home.

Re: Insignificant Things That Make You Happy.
I had another great day on the mountain yesterday, topped off with seeing one of my favourite Alps bands at Le Ski Lodge in La Tania and getting hammered.

Re: Insignificant Things That Make You Happy.
Finally got the hang of window cleaning. Did it in the UK and always a mess.
Loads of windows here and 4 sets of double glass doors.
When sun beams in, they always looked shit
I'd watched videos but never got the hang of the squeegy.
But watched one earlier and he just said to wipe the squeegy dry after every stroke.
Guess who's got lots of sparkly windows ?
