Maybe that's what the "almost" means. If you think a longer life is not better then, for you, things have got worse.
What does 'better' mean, how does one person have a better life than another?
I noticed your so won't get all maudlin or serious
What does "better" mean? In this case it's a matter of opinion, if you think your life is better, it's better.
Here, have another one of these:
Thank you, you really are too kind and generous
Completely agree; a religious hermit who died at a - relatively - young age might consider (if asked just before ) he'd had a better life than an absolute hedonistic geriatric.
Age, ie a number, isn't relevant. I doubt many people in good health want to die.
Think if they start this shit ill open one in the store for a good sniff.
Maybe if supermarkets paid farmers a fair price for the milk, and customers had to pay the value of that milk, they wouldn't chuck it away so fast despite the dates
Life is for living. Buy the shoes. Eat the cake. Ride the bikes. Just, ride the bikes!!

I think if the milk is off its gonna be thrown out; but a BBE rather than a 'use before' is nothing to creme your fraiche about.
It doens't effect my directly 'cause I'm jabbed, but I did wonder if it's even legal. Presumably it is 'cause so many firms are doing it, but to me it seems like they're changing my contract without me agreeing to it? They're also forcing me to divulge my personal medical data in order to obtain one of my contractually agreed benefits which is not something I signed up to.
Following Novak Djokovic’s triumph against Australia’s legal system, migrants on Dungeness beaches are informing border officials they are seeded for the All England Lawn Tennis Championships.
Migrant Fawad Zahir said: “We’re early, but there’s qualifications and the Queen’s beforehand. Wimbledon’s not just one fortnight, you know.
“Many of us are unranked wildcards so we need all the preparation time we can get. Any one of us could be the English Djokovic.”
Fellow migrant Yasaman Yazdani said: “It seemed worrying when the Border Force pulled up alongside us, but we waved our rackets and they laughed, shook their heads at their own stupidity, and escorted us to land.
“A cheering throng lined the clifftops of Dover to welcome us. The English are famed for their hospitality to tennis players, but so heartwarming to see in real life.”
Border guard Stephen Malley said: “They’re not English, but as they pointed out neither is Andy Murray so there’s wiggle room.”

If what the jabless ones get is statutory sick pay, then what they’re getting from their employer is nothing.

The employer is liable for SSP. There are some limited circumstances where they can claim it back if it’s Covid related, but not at the moment.
Two Los Angeles police officers were fired for chasing Pokémon rather than fleeing robbers, court documents show.
The pair were parked nearby when a radio call came in for officers to respond to a shop robbery.
But a review of their in-car camera footage showed they had been playing Pokémon Go and chose to pursue a nearby Snorlax - a relatively rare catch - instead of providing back-up.
The pair denied playing the game but were sacked after an investigation.
Blundering about trying not to make too much of a hash of things.
