Not today, but last night. Still in isolation trying as best as I can to avoid the other 4 in the house so I spent a couple of hours in the conservatory digging through my records. Here's an mix of Motown, soul and Northern tunes for you to listen to.

Proper cocktails.Potter wrote: Sun Jan 09, 2022 8:59 amBasically they're all variations on the Breakfast Martini and Pegu.
There are various ingredients depending on who you ask, they're all gin but with lime juice or lemon juice, Cointreau or Orange Curacao or Triple Sec.
You'd think they'd be very similar but they're completely different.
Best I've found is a double gin, a single Cointreau, a single shot of lemon juice and a full teaspoon of juice from melted orange marmalade.
Shake it for ages with three ice cubes and then pour - sugar on the glass edge if you're feeling sweet.

Don't have to convince me.
I remember having my first "real" Martini at a fancy bar in London and wondering how anyone ever did a 3 Martini lunch. That's 12 shots

Gin is a bit too sharp on it's own, but the orange liqueur sorts it out nicely.

There’s a deli next door to us that sells Fridge Martini,s that you keep in the freezer - they aren’t bad.

You should be able to make your own at home exactly how you like it, varying ratios and brands til you get what you want.

Long Island Iced Tea, with just enough cola to tint it.
If you can't get a Long Island, then an Espresso Martini is an ok alternative.
