Took the wife out shopping for a new toaster and kettle. Turns out she'd already bought them and it was just a click and collect from Robert Dyas. She withheld that bit of information until we'd walked up and down Brentwood High St first though.

Very quiet and boring day at work. Nothing happened which I guess is good as everyone got home safely.
Did some training on body cams as we start using them in a week or so.
Only drawback, one of the other managers was in, death by being talked at!!
Best part, Greggs breakfast roll and a coffee, lovely!
Now chilling while I cook a pork chop and roasties and watch old Auf Widersehen Pet episodes.

Just did some serious cooking. Damn I need a bigger kitchen to do this Chinese takeaway stuff!!

Beef satay
Chicken balls
Crispy chicken for hong kong style S&S
Sweet and sour sauce

Chopped and soaked beef to do crispy chilli beef tomorrow
Cooked rice to do egg fried rice tomorrow

Had some chicken balls, s&s sauce and bacon fried rice for tea!! (The rice was left over from the other day!!)

Most of the chicken balls and crispy chicken and some of the crispy beef will be going in the freezer to make those dishes easier/quicker another time!

Really need to use the beansprouts to make some spring rolls for the freezer.

But I think I need to get seriously organised and chop a load of stuff to put in the freezer to make things quicker. Cos, with so little space and lots of things I want to cook its a challenge!! LOL

Slept most of the day after a night shift, it’s been peeing down all day, nearly 3 inches in 24 hrs, it’s rather flooded in Sussex at the moment. Now at work, paperwork for tonight’s jobs checked so about to cook beef madras. Will be turning things off later.

After ATS turned me away saying they couldn't plug my tyre until next Thursday (I plugged it myself, but it's lost 6psi over a week), I stopped by a local back street tyre fitter that's part of a hand carwash.

There was only the one tyre fitter, a Nigerian chap. He popped the tyre off and a hand full of tyre shreds fell out, I think he told me that it was because the car had been driven with a flat and he would re-plug it, but it needed replacing sooner rather than later.

He then proceeded to show me pictures on his phone of several part warns that I could have for £70, after 5 minutes of me insisting that I'd much prefer a new tyre he agrees by saying "expensive car, expensive wife, expensive tyre" and rings a bloke and comes back with a price, seemed pretty competitive, so It's booked for Monday.

It's a right dodgy setup, but the tyre machine looks top notch/expensive and they've got a shit load of new stock in, just no 285/30 R19's.

I've checked the price online and he's on par with Black Circles (who I've vowed to never use again)..

He fixed the current tyre for free.

A 6hr team sim race today. Completed about 3 1/2 hours over 3 stints. It's a nice winter hobby to have.

Although not as good as a skiing holiday

It's when you strap a couple of planks to your feet and skid down a snowy mountain.

After wasting many hours being dragged around furniture shops, we also popped into the recovery garage to do a final sweep for personal bits n bobs now FiL's car has been picked up.

You’d be amazed what these paintless dent removal guys can do :D

Today, we managed a lie in as the daughter had the dog for the night / day, so bacon sarnie in peace, before heading out to look for a new mattress, “we” ended up buying a new bed… when I say we, the wife chose it, I paid. It if keeps her happy!

After that, mooch around IKEA to pick up some glasses for a party in a few weeks then back to pick up the dog who was very happy to see us

He’s now curled up in a ball next to me on the sofa, fast asleep.

Sore in interesting shades of purple & yellow.
