Spondon Turbo Suzook

Post by Skub »

Spondon frames have to be the loveliest thing ever.

218bhp.

190kgs.

No rider aids.

Even on paper that sounds intimidating.

Google tells me after Stuart Garner bought and dismantled Spondon, the company was no more. An ex Spondon Employee Gavin Goddard now runs GIA Engineering, which seem to preserve some of the early heritage.

He does a very nice twin shock frame for big Suzuki and Kawasaki engines.

And they loved it, the little tarts.

When I was working for EMAP (which made Max amongst many others) the IT department introduced some sort of porn filter. They had to remove it pretty swiftly as it blocked much of the content we were producing.

Zanx had a turbo Bandit 12 IIRC, dunno how well it ran though as I think there was a few issues with it.

That was proper wanking material in streetfighters back in the day :)

But it was born in a time when jap frames were crap and they just aren't anymore, it's almost a shame
