In seriousness, I don't think you'd like it, it's very much an inline 4 750, very linear power and likes to be screamed, it's also quite a heavy bike (214KG wet), you don't notice the weight riding it, but I do wheeling it out of the garage. I honestly think an MT07 or MT09 would suit you better.
Yes, it probably wouldn't suit me in many ways, but it's a nice looking bike.
The MT09 crops up in searches and is interesting. I like the look of it, especially with USD forks etc, but it really does have more (too much) power than I'll ever need. So does the MT07 come to that!

My Mum has a brand new CB500R (well it was brand new when she bought it a few years ago). The first time I moved it out of the way in their garage I nearly threw it up the wall....it was way lighter than my push was anticipating

A colleague had a CB500X as a loaner and absolutely loved it. He did say he was going to get one, but he left and I haven't seen him since? They aren't on my radar though. Not really sure why tbh?
I think Couchy had one for a while, there's loads of rally raid upgrades you can do to them. I had the normal street version as a loner once and it was surprisingly good fun. Just about managed to wring the ton out of it too

Wow, that must be fully fuelled. The loaner I had was the f version without the fairing etc which must have been about 10kgs lighter - felt like it was a sub 160kg bike though.

Depends on the gearing, doesn't it?
You can get plenty of acceleration out of 30 hp... just think RD250LC. With low enough gearing, acceleration is limited by wheelies. If you've seen the 60-odd hp 400s trying to get off the line at the TT, you'll see the downside of a high first gear.
And one of the features of the NC range is a VERY low first gear. Mind you, with the weight you'll struggle to get it to wheelie. but it's no slouch.

Yes, it's the same bike. Looking at his insta a/c he's not that bad, just learning really. It's not really put me off now I know what stage he's at, iyswim? Just a young bloke enjoying his pride and joy, same as I was back then...
