Solving covid would be lovely, but we all know it's not going to happen.

The virus only spreads through people interacting. So, reducing the interaction would reduce the spread of covid. This is not rocket science. There are different rules for the four nations of the United Kingdom, and there have been from the start. This is utterly stupid.

How many people crossed from Wales and Scotland into England for the New Year's celebrations? Maybe nobody got infected because of these people travelling but I rather think that the odds are that some did.

Also the rules on mask wearing in different settings are also different between the four Nations. Why? Is there a benefit to the different rules? I rather think not.

Yes, people are tired of the on-going covid restrictions but, then again, aren't we all?

When will this ever end? Are we going to continue throughout the coming year with different rules depending on where you live? If so then I fear that covid will drag on and on and on.

This is not good for anyone. That, at least, I think we can all agree on.

It’s up to the devolved governments what they do. I’m not sure you can criticise Boris for the decisions of Sturgeon and Drakeford.

If you’re saying that we should have a draconian lockdown to try to limit the spread of omicron then that’s a valid viewpoint but I’m not sure the data is supporting that. As yet.

We could solve Covid in a fortnight.

Everyone goes into a room alone (or goes into an outdoor space away from others) and stays there for 14 days.

After 14 days Covid would be dead. A few people would e too, but hey ho.

I'm not sure you can criticise Nicola and Mark for the decisions of Johnson either.

It's amost as annoying as people insisting on calling Johnson by his stage name of 'Boris' when his family and friends actually call him by his first name - 'Alex'.

Interesting that it's Nicola and Mark and not Alexander. It's almost annoying. ;)

That's exactly what I was saying to Keir the other day, Sajid said it was a bit annoying too but Rishi didn't give a toss either way.

Not to his friends. :)

BTW Alexander was v chuffed that a rufty tufty biker forum has a fit of the vapours if anyone is beastly enough to call him names. He reckons that makes him like Vladimir and his Night Wolves, Emmanuel pointed out that one lot are Hell's Angels and the others are a bunch of pensioners, which WAS a bit beastly, but then, he is Fronch.

And, of course, since I'm on irie's mentally imposed or physical ignore list, could someone quote this?
