I actually thought the can was a nice compromise between old and new. Stylish, but in context.

Meet the Yamaha GTS1000 Italian Resilience, a custom bike built by Lorenzo Frugaroli of FMW Motorcycles. The model year is 1993 and the Italian bike builder stripped down the GTS to create what looks like a statement of creativity. He still kept the front swingarm design and we have to say it looks rather special.

Did he also design custom centre consoles for Mk1 Capris?

Pretty sure I know someone with a GTS1000, can't remember who though.

Looks more like a Suzuki GT380 two-stroke triple to me. The Ram-air on the heads gives it away.

The 550 had electric start, but I can’t see either way in that pic.

It’s even got the Suzuki “binoculars” rear light.

And the left side front brake plate. I’d say it’s a Suzuki with the seat/tank unit bodged on.

The reg comes back as a Suzuki.

inewham wrote: Mon Jan 03, 2022 9:56 pm Its a GT550, you can see a cable(rev counter?) just to the right of the fins, it comes off the front of the cover. 380s don't have that, they have a rev counter obvs but its from a different place
I can see that you’re a guy who remembers the 70s!

It's actually an SP1.

A very cheap SP1.

There must be something very very wrong with it.
Would the crash bung touch down before the peg

Yeah and that's a nasty SP1. Wish I'd have bought Potters or my mates one before than. Minters were 3.5-4k I could have ridden it and doubled my money. Loved the SP1 I had a go of

A mate has 2 SP1s (he might have 3), one is standard and one is a Moriwaki race bike, neither of them is very reliable, they have had killed a lot of ignition black boxes.
