Italy, Spain, Greece and Luxembourg have all gone through phases of requiring primary school children to wear masks. In Ireland, the requirement was from 9 years and up, in Northern Ireland it is 'strongly recommended' that all primary school children wear masks on transport services. The CDC in the US recommends that children should wear masks from the age of 2, going against WHO and UNICEF guidelines. Yet for some reason it only becomes an issue for Irie when it's the French It's a bit odd really, given that these measures by the French are intended in part to avoid a full lockdown, something Irie has been very vocal about where the UK is concerned.

Quality post. You've literally just stated the obvious from both of the links (and even managed to get that wrong, typically 11+ year olds) and thrown in an insult. The operative word in that statement being LEARN and if learning to wear a mask in confined spaces to help protect those more vunerable than ourselves is a bit more is too hard then maybe we got rid of the wrong people during Brexit.

Frankly I'd rather I die from covid than force primary school kids to grow up wearing masks.
The psychological damage from primary school kids only being allowed to socialise if they're hiding their face is not worth my life, I'd happily rather die than them suffer that. Kids being denied laughing together and enjoying the sight of each other laughing is monstrous.

I'd go further and suggest that if you're that terrified of dying that you'd put kids through that then you need psychological help.

I can think of a much more obvious reason it's bollox. Asking a 6 year old to wear a mask properly is slightly less effective than a chocolate fireguard protecting a chocolate teapot.

All of my grandparents died before I was born (and my mother died when I was 16).

You don't have to adapt to having no grandparents, you just have no grandparents.
