Removing nut from brass bushing

I have managed to try and unscrew a nut fsrim a brass bushing. Unfortunately the nut and brass bushing formed an intimate love match, bonded and all I succeeded in doing is getting the bushing free of the plastic.

So now the nut and bushing rotate together.

Any easy way of removing this and fitting a new bushing, before I go to a dealer. Apparantly I need some blind rivets.

Bushes aren’t usually made from brass.

OK well whatever it is, it bonded together

Drop it in some vinegar.

Guess it's a brass threaded insert in plastic?

Usually brass, - more expensive material that steel, but easier to tap which offsets this.

Is the screw brass?
