I do like V engines. I've owned a number of V-twins - Ducati 851, Ducati 888 SP3, Suzuki TL1000s, Aprilia Falco (2 of) and all of them were/are great, although the 851 did suffer in comparison with the 888 SP3. I'm also a big fan of V4s. I've owned 3 VFR750s and they are/were a fabulous engine and sound wonderful, albeit underpowered in comparison to today's offerings. And the Aprilia V4 is just THE best sounding road bike in the world. Taking the next step up, the V6 in the shape of a 2.5 litre Ferrari Dino unit, powered the original Lancia Stratos - probably the best looking and best sounding car in the history of the world, ever.

So yeah, V engines rock.

IL4s, not so much. I've never owned one, to be fair, but they just sound so dull and predictable, even if they are screaming at 16000 rpm. I get why they are so popular, and I understand that they are the cheapest and most practical engine configuration to produce, but - meh.

IL6s, on the other hand are cool. And sound great.

VTwins all day long. Had an il4 once, nah. Dabbled with a v4, meh.

I could be persuaded onto a triple or a single.

Had a 5.3l V12 once. :D
Bikes - of those I've owned, I really like the flat twin, V-twin, big IL4 and big single engines. Least liked and probably wouldn't buy again - 4T parallel/vertical twins. Never owned but would like to try - V4, flat 4, triple, electric.

So, not very picky. :D

Doubt is not a pleasant condition.

I like all of them, favourites are.
250 two stroke Parallel twins for the blue haze madness & ring dinging :D :D
600 air cooled single for thumper experience.
3 cylinder triple for the wail & induction
4 cylinder four for the classic UJM power delivery.
I always liked the look of the Morini 350's but so far I've only rode one 4 stroke V twin,a Ducati 916,can't say that I was overly impressed, but that was more to do with getting bounced from verge to verge as it's not the chassis of choice on the country roads around here.I'll have to try a SV or VStrom 650 at some point.
Never rode a 6,but my mate's currently restoring a Z13,it's a big old bus
