Your hyperthetical dream bike

Post by Demannu »

If you could get all the manufacturers together and they'd agreed to build this bike for you.
I'd get Yamaha to design the engine, honda to build it, Suzuki get the gearbox, kwacker clutch
I'd get the Italians to design the frame and wrap it up in something visually stunning.
I'd let the Germans polish it

Then the Chinese can copy it.

I think you need to be a bit more specific, you could end up with an XS500 engine in a Fantic Chopper, polished by MZ.

USD forks.
SSWA.
V4.
200bhp.
Ash tray.
Three (or more) cup holders.
Auto wheelie function that is activated when passing children making the international hang gesture for "pull us a minger".
Doesn't make my knees or back hurt.
Looks shit hot.
Built in panniers.

My wishes are far simpler, rides like a 2022 superbike, looks like a 1982 superbike.

To be honest, Aprilia have pretty much got my dream bike sown up. It's the 1100 Tuono Factory with all the Ohlins bells and whistles. My problem is a) I can't afford it and b) even if I could I'm not sure I could get the most out of it. In fact I'm damn sure I couldn't.

So my hypothetical dream bike would be an 1100 Tuono Factory with all the extras, but built and warrantied by Honda, and with gear driven cams throughout - no cam chains here, y'hear? I'd also want a 20 year warranty and factory upgrades as they become available.

And the invincibility pack.

I think that covers it.

I remember those weights and waist sizes, I was 27” at 11st, won’t say what I am now but fook me how is it even possible 😫
